Umbria is lovely green quiet and landlocked. The latter fact means to have fresh fish you have to cook at home or go to Lazio, Marche or Tuscany. In Umbria, you will find meat, pasta and if you are lucky, something green. Most people do not learn to swim or eat fish.Every rule has an exception - L'Antico Borgo has excellently executed fresh fish and seafood done by a Sicilian chef who should be given some sort of Medal by the Province so that he stays forever. In a kind of obscure village between Terni and the Cascata, the restaurant is unassuming but pleasant. The modest space belies the excellent cuisine. We had the Insalata Fruta de Mare, which was both generous and fresh (exceptionally tender calamari and pulpo) and sublty seasoned. For main courses, we had the Tonno Tagliata- which was sushi quality tuna steak cooked on the outside and but preserved rare with and Spigola alla Griglia, a large portion grilled so to achieve the scoring and firmness without overcooking the delicate flesh.Complementing the excellent fish was a wine list that picked up a large number of great Sicilian wines that you hardly see outside of - well - Sicily. We had the bio-dynamic Vivero Sasitere Etna- a perfect citrus wine for the cuisine, light and wide awake. All this splendor for the cost of a run of the mill grill restaurant.In toto, it is as good as renowned (starred) places in Central Rome that cost twice as much. Now, I can save myself a drive and stay in Umbria for a regular appointment with the sea.The highlight is the fish

L' agriturismo Tenuta Marchesi Fezia, situato tra Narni e Sangemini in una splendida posizione panoramica, possiede un ristorante pizzeria di propria gestione con annesso forno a legna, aperto alla carta tutti i giorni a cena, la domenica anche a pranzo;
A good place to try for views, relax and eating in a nice environment..... Food seems to be fresh and flavoured... The local wine is not so much structured... Try but just a glass before ordering a bottle... Gentile cliente la ringraziamo per la bella recensione e per il parere competente sul vino di nostra produzione, un buon vino piuttosto leggero adattissimo per pasteggiare in maniera easy. A presto

We stopped here for lunch on the first day of our vacation. It made a good start to the trip. The platter of typical Umbrian cold cuts and cheese was large and extensive. Each slice of meat was delicious. My wife had the eggplant parmesan which was a simple basic preparation that highlighted the eggplant and the tomato sauce. It was also one of the most reasonably priced lunches we had on our vacation.

Anyone visiting Terni should experience dining at Crunch. The menu is exciting and innovative featuring flavor combinations so unusual you will be surprised with every mouthful. Who would put tiny sweet meringues with lamb? It really worked. The service is super helpful with full explanations of all the offerings.We loved this place and will definitely return.

Food is really great: creative, upper-quality local and seasonal ingredients, and nice local beers (we tried the Kubu). Place is beautifully arranged, and staff are very friendly to explain all the dishes and their origin. Ask for the meaning of "umami" to learn a nice little story.Many Thanks

There are too many words to say about here. But also the is just one word. "Perfect!" . Excellent atmosphere. Excellent menu ( try ravioli mozzarella with black truffles) ( also dessert) . Excellent dishes. Excellent staff ( smile faces, very fast service ) . Excellent bill ( they also make some discount without ask, and really good prices ) . I will go again and again as soon as possible . Enjoy

Very very delicious food. The chef is an artist, one of the best meals I ever ate. Friendly owner helped us with the translation of the menu.

A very pleasant place. Labro is an ancient village very well conserved. A pearl still not discovered by many Italians and foreign people. This restaurant is very nice, inside and outside. Not really accessible with wheelchair because the streets are made with irregular stones. The menu is short and very well prepared. We had an appetizer, a dish of pasta and a second course. it was enough (and we are good eaters). We order a bottle of local wine and it was very good: young and fruity. The owner is a Sommelier. The total amount of our bill was 56 euros, not cheap but it's a fair price for a good meal and a fabulous atmosphere. Surely recommended.

It has been a long time ago since I was at a restaurant with two Michelin stars but it was well worth the money. It is clear that the Trip advisor rating system can't apply to this high category of restaurants so don't compare it with my other ratings. I have added some photo's to give an impression since it is hard to describe the highly creative quality of this restaurant. Special compliments for the very friendly service and not too formal ambience. My favorite was probably the stuffed artichoke which got them a price in 2011, the egg inside that is still liquid is a good combination with the crusty outside. They are renowned for their fresh water fish dishes, as a main dish we had pike from the lake and that was excellent.
