Looking for a place to eat on a Sunday, kind of late for lunch. We arrived around 2:15 and the wait person said they close at 2:30 but seated us and continued to seat others well after 3:00. A party of five and no problems at all. Very nice setting, low key, no hassle.Thank you very much. Glad to have you here again!

Typical restaurant with a modern twist. Between the quietness of centuries trees, a large car park and terrace for al fresco dining, few meters from the main beach of the area, with rustic and welcoming style is the right place where to stop for an except
We had arrived in Lierna after more than 24 hours of travel. Il Crotto looked inviting. We were greeted by the owners, ate al fresco with complimentary Procecco. Our meal was outstanding with the owner explaining that each dish including the desserts were all made in-house. What an outstanding ending to a full and tiresome day.

We only wanted a simple meal and a bottle of wine. We asked who I believe was the boss to recommend a local white wine, he recommended the most expensive bottle. We took his recommendation only to be served it cool, but nowhere near chilled, in a wine cooler full of water. When we commented on the temperature of the wine but suggested that we would have it if they put it in ice, we were told there was no ice! After being sat for over half an hour, we had to ask for two glasses of chilled wine from the bar. Since the food was fine, we could have accepted the wine situation if we had been given an apology from the 'boss'. Instead, he was enjoying a drink at the bar. Our waitress however (I didn't get her name) was very sweet and helpful.Dear Matthew Twe are sorry for the problems that you had.We spoke with our waiters and their version is a little bit different but we apologize anyway. We wish that you will come back to Galli&Gufi: we are sure next time everything will be perfect.See you soonGalli&Gufi

Picked this place as it is in walking distance from our B & B and rated highly on TripAdvisor! Warm welcome and great food! Bresaola starter was filling as was the salmon! For mains, perch and ravioli! Nicely cooked and tasty! Lovely waitress who was learning English and making a good job of it and off to Sydney later this year! Would recommend this place as great food and views and run by a lovely couple!

My husband & I dined here for our 1st wedding anniversary after finding other reviews on Trip Advisor. We were staying in Nesso, so it was a good 45 minute drive, but was worth it. The drive took us in land, where we were able to enjoy other scenery other than the lake. When we arrived we didn't know what to expect from the outside view, which is more or less a door in the side of a wall, however, inside was lovely. It had it's own style, which was a little of everything, & worked on every level. The owner, who was also the chef came to us & helped to translate the menu, we speak little Italian. My husband is a veggie, & he was able to tell us about the meat free dishes. Both our meals were amazing. My husband having cheese to start & homemade fresh pasta with red wine sauce, I had duck to start & steak with a stilton sauce. All the food was amazing, it was fresh, homemade where it could be & delicious. We opted for a white wine, which again was very good. Over all, it was a fabulous experience, wonderful food, with great personal service. The atmosphere was romantic, cosy, & personal. We couldn't recommend this restaurant enough, & encourage a visit during your stay around Lake Como.

We went here for my husbands birthday, based on recommendation from our hosts. We ordered the 8 courses seafood menu (yes 8!) since there was only 2 options for seafood night, either 8 or 10 courses. The waiter, although don't speak English, is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxed. People around you will speak loudly, like real Italian do ;) love it love it love it!!Too bad we had late lunch so we could not finish the food (the portion is big). We will definitely come back, next time after skipping lunch :)

The restaurant is hidden on a back street in the village, and is so worth the trip. Recommended by the manager of the apartment I rented as a "Very nice, inexpensive restaurant", and being literally 100 meters from my room, I asked her to reserve a table for me. The meal was absolutely wonderful. I ordered the Beef Filet, at 22 euros, no appetizer, no pasta first course. And yet, before my steak arrived I was served a basket of very good bread, some homemade grissini, accompanied by a delicious dried sausage to nibble on. When the steak arrived, it was perfectly cooked (they had not asked how I wanted it; it arrived medium-rare) with roasted potatoes on the side. The buttery, herb-scented potatoes melted in my mouth, and the thick steak was tender and flavorful. I could not have been happier with my meal, the service and the welcome. I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend Il Vicolo.

The Giardinetto restaurant is situated in Mandello del Lario, about ten kilometers north of Lecco on "That branch of the Lake of Como, which turns towards south between to unbroken chains of mountains, presenting to the eye a succession of bays and gulfs.
Went there for dinner and had an exceptional experience from the beginning on with several staff making us feel welcome and enjoyed their attentiveness throughout our dinner.Received great recommendations about daily specials and were very pleased with the presentation and flavour rich starters and entrees. We especially loved how the restaurant both offered lake and sea fish and prepared every course thoughtful.Overall an memorable dinner in a great atmosphere with lake view and very dedicated staff. Bravo!
