Short wait outside to before we were seated. Unfortunately near the door to the toilets, that aside, ordering was fast and clinical, mains delivered before starter.... then a mess trying to find space on a small table. Disappointed that we were discourage from ordering the satay, 20 minutes or more wait, it was clear they wanted you feed and out so they could fill your seat again....Kari kambing (lamb) was great, the Sambal udang (prawns) was terrible.... Sambal sauce was out of a tub and mixed with pre frozen prawns and tossed onto a plate, this is not what I would call authentic. Far better places in Chatswood to try.... Sorry, we won't be back.

We had the chicken laksa, Hainanese chicken with dry noodles and Fish Ball Noodle Soup. The laksa was ok. All I tasted was spice but no lemak and no taste of daun kesum. I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve had. A very watered down laksa. The Fish Ball Noodle soup was blend and needed a whole heap of soy sauce to add flavour to it. The only good dish was the dry noodles with the hainanese chicken. This is a very popular place. Do recommend you book if coming in a large group. Everyone saying it’s authentic Malaysian and Nyonya food, have obviously not had the real thing. Will probably give it another try if we are back that way. Will have to try some other dishes which others have recommended on this site. I also bought some dumplings to try. Hopefully they live up to the hype.

We were so excited when PappaRich announced reopening in Chatswood, because we loved eating at the previous venue that closed around 2 years ago. But we were disappointed because the food was really poorly cooked... The roti, nasi goreng and eggplant were all very oily and bland. The tetarik was good, but it doesn’t save the venue... we were also served on dirty plates...When I told the manager, he didn’t want to offer any compensation and didn’t apologise. We won’t be eating here too often, which is a huge shame... We were regulars at the previous one!
