Cooking 25 years. Cheap eats in the heart of Auckland CBD. Asian style street food. Cooked fresh to your order, served hot to your table. Open 7 days, fully licensed, Everyone welcome!
This is mainly Asian street foodJapanese Korean Malaysian IndianWe had Malaysian Laksa because we adore it. It was nicely spiced with thai paste, coconut sauce, noodles, tofu and chicken. The portions are huge and you are given a spoon and chopsticks. It isn't posh at all. Canteen type tables and chairs and you find your own table definitely no airs and graces. Each portion was $12 ...... 6 English pounds. You can get drinks there too. There is a clean toilet upstairs.

Recommended by Marty from Auckland Free Walking Tours, this restaurant did not disappoint! Itâs right in the middle of the K-Street restaurant area, and it was busy throughout our meal. Bring your own wine or beer, as they do t serve any alcohol. (Thereâs a liquor store right across the street!)We got the roti curry to start (amazing!) and the took the recommendation of Beef Renang and one of the house rice noodle dishes that had chicken, squid, sausage and shrimp. (I think fried Kwai teow) We were absolutely starving when we went in, and stuffed when we left, but still had some leftover food to take away. Highly recommend adding this to your visit!

Monsoon Poon is a busy, bustling, noisy place but it has great atmosphere and great food. Everything including the decor is Asian fusion. We really enjoyed the curry puffs - best I've ever had and a wonderful goat curry. Service was very good. Highly recommended.

Unpretentiously good Malaysian fare as promised. Prices mid-range. I didnât say excellent Malaysian fare. Itâs very good, and itâs probably as good as it can get here. Moderate your expectations - we totally enjoyed our dinner here. Asked for cut chilli and they did have! Kway teow is interestingly mixed with beehoon, and surprisingly has very good wok-Hei!!Iâd imagine if I stay here long enough, Iâll likely pop by now and then....
