We went for a mid week family lunch, the place is charming, good service, we had a few good sharing starter and a excellent grilled lamb. Strongly suggested for an informal good meal.

Restaurant and local products like wine and olives in the heart of the medieval village of Dolceacqua. Agriturismo I Gumbi has in- and outside seating directly at the old canal in Dolceacqua.
I visited for lunch on a busy day, the food was on average very good and there was no waiting time. The place is small, so you must book in advance. I'm not sure if there is always a pre-selected menu, but this was and the choice was well balanced. Thumbs up for the staff as well!

I was wandering around this little town without knowing where I was going to end... And I pushed the little door of this restaurant where it smells the good & the homemade. Do not expect anything fancy there, you'll be disapointed. Anyhow you should stay just to experience a good meal that you know it is made by the house. Quality and quantity. I usually eat quite well but I wasn't expecting to be quite full juste after the antipasti. Cold and hot, it was varied and tastefull. Then I ordered the local style pasta (with garlic, olive oil and veggies) and it was also marvelous. I ended my lunch just after that as I wasn't able to handle anymore food!... See and taste it for yourself!Good service although the waitress was alone for all the tables! She speaks at least french and english (as well as italian), very helpfull to understand the dishes! :)Grazie mille!! :)

Come to this pleasant restaurant in Pigna in the Southern Alps of Italy bordering on France, about a ¾ hourâs drive north of Ventimiglia, when you are hungry. Although the scenic journey alone is worth the effort, you will be treated on arrival with original, freshly home-made Italian cooking in abundance. We chose the menu Degustazione at â¬32 a head, and were served with two courses of antipasti, two pasta courses and then a plate of tender lamb with Italian roast potatoes followed by generous helpings of home-made desert concoctions or fruit. Lunch lasted about 3 hours. The bill for four of us with 4 large bottles of mineral water, a local beer and 4 excellent coffees came to â¬150 â remarkable value! Be aware though that the venue is not conducive to quiet or intimate dining due to the hard flooring which makes for a fairly noisy ambience and the tables are round and large thus creating more than a little space between those seated around them.

The food is amazing, the service impeccable and the prices reasonable. Quite delicate and mainly seafood, started with 3 appetizers (anchovies, salt cod with potatoes and rabbit liver) and went on to a main (seared tuna with stir fried veg) followed by a v good cheese selection. Recomended wines from Terrebianchi winery just up the hill, I recomend the white Pigato.Furthermore, my daughter is celiac and they made a point of cooking 2 of her dishes without glutten especially for her.

Despite the almost unpronounceable name, the restaurant offers an interesting menu with traditional recipes and extremely accurate display. It's elegant and welcoming. It's better to reserve, staters are between 10⬠and 13â¬, main corses (the "risotto" is awesome) as well and it's possible to order a taste of different dessert. For 20⬠you can savour a good bottle of prosecco. It's a wonderful food experience of liguria.

gramma is responsible for the ravioli. Service can be slow in full tourist season but hang in. The owner is delightful. The village, Rocchetta Nervina ( 200 or so people) is in an amazing medical town, next to a beautiful River. Only an hour from Nice airport ( go through Menton, ventimelia then up to the village. Stay at amazing Casa Villatalla guest house which is close by.
