We visited at lunch time on a very hot august day and the covered terrace with moisturizers working at full speed were very welcome.Very good food in a very chic place, we had delicious warm salad of octopus with potatoes. The waitress was very kind and we very wilingly tipped her, but the head waiter was most unfriendly and haughty, hence our not giving this restaurant top marks.

We were driving from Milan to Monaco, it was lunch time and we stopped in Bordighera. Immediately after the Highway exit we were hit by the surrounding beauty of this place. We stopped at Bordighera Alta, the ancient high village, few people, nice views, nice Church and several bars and restaurants. We stop at this restaurant, as on the board the daily dishes were very interesting. We went for a starter called panissa, it is fried focaccia made with chickpeas floor and black pepper, then my wife selected the bavette, sort of linguine, with local asparagus, cherry tomatoes and small shrimps, delicious, I went for locally catches tuna and grilled vegetables, gorgeous. We drunk house sparkling wine that was fresh and goodLocation nice and charming. If you are in Monaco or Mentone and are looking for a true tasteful Italian dinner or lunch. This is a 20 minutes trip worth to make

NIce place in the old town of Bordighera. We had lunch on the terrace with a view out over the old town to the sea. Relaxing and sunny. Nice choices on the menu that was translated by the wait staff - very helpful. I had the Coniglio alla Ligure and my wife had ravioli. The rabbit was excellent and surprisingly presented like a large pot pie. My wife's ravioli she thought was over done and reheated. Dessert was excellent as was the house wine. Very reasonably priced at Euros 55. Service was good although the orders were switched but we easily switched plates!!Overall worth the visit.

Amazing find! Friendly, family run restaurant with masses of charm and a great location in a little square in the old town. We had a lovely lunch, the Vongole was superb. We started with a nice glass of Prosecco and had great wine & charming service throughout. We can't wait to go back. Thank you!

It is out of season and a Thursday so very clearly the place is tranquil. It is not the most stunning view, in fact the beach is rather littered and it's close to the railway track yet the sun is shining and it was a perfect place for lunch after a visit to the market. The Moama special at 39 euros was delicious and generous enough to content the 3 of us. Deep fried whitebait, calamari and anchovies was light and fresh. The home made Tiramisu was a creamy fluffy delight! And, the lovely Federica was attentive and cheerful.

il punto d'Italia dove tramonta più tardi il sole; sulla punta più a sud e più a ovest del Nord Italia una magnifica terrazza sul mare
We love to come here for dinner. Itâs minimalist, modern, relaxed and welcoming. We have only ever had excellent food and wine here. Dress up or come casual it really doesnât matter. Itâs right on the beach, and when you come for the first time just follow the signs. Very difficult to get a taxi from this restaurant at night so be prepared to walk or drive.

This pizzeria is just down the street from where I have been living in Bordighera since November 2017. Blue Lagoon is just across the street, and I know my laziness has taken me there when my yearning for pizza needs to be fed. I decided today that it was time for a change. Il Cappero has only a few tables; I always try to beat the crowd when I'm eating alone and I also have American eating habits that regulate the timing of my hunger. I arrived at 7:10 pm and the tables were full within the next 30 minutes. In that time, 5 or 6 people also came in for pizza to go. I ordered a glass of red wine for 3⬠and Pizza Bordighiotta which was topped by tomato sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto crudo, rocket, gorgonzola, and another cheese unfamiliar to me which was shaved on top of everything else. Pizza prices range from 8⬠to 12â¬, and this was at the top of the range. The fresh tomatoes were sweet and delicious and the rocket was fresh and crisp. The pizza crust was light and crispy at the edges, not overly doughy. There is also a decent selection of traditional Italian pasta and seafood dishes, including a regional pasta called Fioche alla Genovese--pasta with potatoes, green beans and pesto. This will be my "go to" place for pizza, and I look forward to trying other menu selections. I highly recommend, but either go early or make a reservation.

And again it is a fabulous restaurant. Everything is delicious. Aide memoire to self: have the red mullet pasta next time. Though my anchovy with oil and chilli was fantastic too! We will always come back here. And the people are lovely Thank you so much, youâre the best clients ever!

Recently expanded to two rooms, this attractive trattoria prepares only three or four pastas and main courses daily, announced on a blackboard. Pasta selections usually include trenette or some other pasta with a rich pesto sauce, and there is always a se
Total disappointment! We ordered fish soup âalmost bouillabaisseâ as it said on the menu. In came what might be the worst Iâve ever gotten in a restaurant; some brown, smelly stuff with two fish bits in. It tasted the way it looked. We said arrivederci and left.
