Thanks to TripAdvisor I found Anita's Kitchen while attending a training class in the Detroit suburbs. I love Mediterranean food, but Anita's Kitchen serves some of the best I've had in the states. I brought along two classmates from my class, one of whom had never tried Mediterranean food before. With the help of Anita's great food, I believe we have won over a new "convert". We thoroughly enjoyed the stuffed grape leaves, both the plain and jalapeno hummus, and tabbouleh for appetizers. We were grateful that our server James D. guided us to the proper sizes to order (the small plates of apps easily satisfy 4 people). We also enjoyed the chicken shawarma for our main course. It was a great experience overall. Our only wish was that we lived close enough to visit again!

EXCELLENT. EXCEPTIONAL. PHENOMENAL. These three words describe Boukie's Grill, 105 South Main St at 11-Mile Rd, Royal Oak, Michigan.Boukie's is as good as a Mediterranean Restaurant can get. Others may equal Boukie's Grill but would have a problem surpassing it.The quality of our lunch was EXCELLENT. EXCEPTIONAL. PHENOMENAL. The portion sizes were large. The white garlic dip was OUTSTANDING. We had four baskets of their pita bread (it was in the form of rolls). Our server was polite and efficient. We tried to order extra pita bread as an appetizer and he said that would not be necessary because it comes with the meal(s). The salad dressing was out-of-this-world good.I am out of adjectives. I would be amazed if anyone who likes and who knows good Mediterranean food can find any fault(s) with Bookie's.

Delighted to have dinner at this cozy stop. Anya was our very sweet, attentive and efficient waitress. The menu is Middle Eastern/ Egyptian. We stuck with the usual Middle Eastern dishes: swarma, grape leaves with lamb, hummous, and lamb shish kabob. The meat from the shish kabob was melt in your mouth, perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious; everything was delicious. The bread was fresh out of the open oven and was outstanding Stop by this place- you're going to love it.

went there for lunch today--had heard good things about this place--was happy we went--meals & service was wonderful--not a fancy place--had outdoor dining also--about2 blocks south of 11 mile--metered parking front & rear--lots of different restaurants in the area--

At first glance The Lentil Mediterranean Grill looks to be primarily a ' take out ' venue. However after going into the restaurant there is more than enough very excellent seating available inside. You place your order at the front of the restaurant as there are no wait staff for table service. I like this feature a lot. Our Fattoush Salad was served in a ' take out ' container but it was excellent just excellent. We certainly plan to visit again and soon. Very convenient location on Woodward Avenue just North of 12-mile Road in Royal Oak.
