El Karim has been been a part of Roseville for a long, long time, so much so that I'd taken it for granted. Not any more. After an absence of some 25 years, I went back there the other night with a party of friends and was delighted with what I found. The menu had a great variety of dishes and the food was tasty and fresh. It was easy to find something for everybody, fussy vegetarians included, and it's ideally set up for convivial sharing. The standouts were a very smoky baba ganoush, a beautiful roasted pumpkin and carrot dish, and a lip-smacking pomegranate lamb. The zucchini chips will make you give up the potato variety and I could have eaten a plateful of the sausage rolls. But the best feature was that you could actually have a conversation in the place without have to yell above the noise. I'll be back, with more of my friends. Oh, and the service was warm, efficient and helpful too. Our family have had many Birthdays at Teta's where the banquet offers great variety and plenty to go around.Garlic chicken, moist lamb, dips and bread galore not to forget kebbe, falafels and all you favorites. Get a Fatoosh salad too as the pomegranate dressing is brilliant

Went here for a cheap and cheerful meal, and it delivers.There is a good choice of pizza and open plate meat dishes.The homos is sensational and a great addition to the meat dishes. Notes, be sure to order the bread with the meat dishes. Always finish the night with Turkish Delight. A great treat.BTW it is BYO which is an added bonus.The only downside is the rooms are a bit small and can be noisy.
