We enjoyed dining at My Momâs Recipe Restaurant for 3 evenings. The staff are very friendly. Ask to speak with Ammar, for help in selecting suitable gluten free dishes. My husband and I stopped here for a quick meal tonight because we were ready for a break from traditional Jordanian food and it is located very near our hotel. We were so pleased! The menu sticks primarily to pizza and sandwiches (see English menu in photos) and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace and watching the world go by just outside the tourist area while we waited for our meals.We each had a medium pizza (shawarma pizza and vegetable pizza) and a Fanta, both of which arrived quickly. The pizza crust was chewy but thin, with a generous serving of melty cheese on top. My shawarma pizza had nice spices and was rich and filling, and my husband's veggie pizza did the trick. Our total was under 10 JD. Very good overall.

We are backpacker traveling mostly on low budget. Of course a touristy place like Wadi Musa is always more pricey.Al afandi is a good place where you can eat cheap and also tasty food. The fries were crunchy and fresh. We really liked the falafel. They prepared it spicy and it was one of the best In Jordan so far.We also got fries for free.

Location is top, enjoy the sunset, the very good service and excellent food. It was the food highlight on our Jordan trip. Show the taxi driver a picture of the restaurant to get there, seems like it got a different arabic name (not sure about that), because nobody knew "1001 nights". And don't pay more than 3 dinar to the taxi driver from any point of Petra/ Wadi Musa. Almost every driver will try to rip you off.

When we arrived hungry in Wadi Musa/Petra, this restaurant was recommended to us and we didn't regret having been there and came back several times during our stay. The food is absolutely delicious and made with love; the owner is lovely, funny and always up for a chat.Enjoy a delicious Shish or Kebab at one of the few tables outside the restaurant or take the freshly prepared food away and enjoy it in your hotel/hostel or anywhere else.
