Being an Italian and living in Rome, me and my wife enjoy trying out the various restaurants when we are out of the house. On the advise of our friend we booked for the 10 pm dinner. The restaurant is located in the old part of the town, the atmosphere is warm and family friendly that reminded me a lot of those famous old Osterie of many years ago. Service was very good and the waiting time for orders was just right. What ever you order in the menu you can not go wrong, and enjoy their local wine whether it's red or white, it's genuine and not treated like commercial bottled wines that give you a headache the next day. The only advise phone to book your reservation as it will probably be full, and if you can hold your hunger 'till 10 pm you would probably enjoy more the dinner having less noise around you.

We hit this spot by friends' advice, and we were so grateful! A little arched tavern into a lovely ancient building, four tables by side. Rosie the owner and chef makes fettuccine and everything else by hand, pouring the best local wine, in a fantastic athmosphere, all for a very reasonable price. We were looking for the real taste of the hills surrounding Rome, we ended up loving this gorgeous little town, with such beautiful highlands around, whose food and people is fantastic!

This restaurant is a little different than the rest of the ones we have been to in Italy. It had it's own certain style, and that style was awesome. We had the bruschetta, a steak with rucola and parmesan, and pasta with pepper and cheese and pumpkin sauce. The pasta seemed to be handmade cooked to perfection. The steak was standard. The bruschetta was a variety plate and it was really good. We liked the salami. I recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, it's a good price and they treat you like family. I would highly recommend to anyone.

cucina italiana,piatti romani,ottima carne,pesce fresco e pizza alla romana,ambiente familiare.Qualità al giusto prezzo
We found this place by accident while trying to get out of the tourist-centric Tivoli and find some places where the locals went to eat. The staff barely spoke English and the menu was only in Italian (always a good sign), but we managed to decipher it enough to order. The waitresses were very friendly, as was the boss.Pizza is only available in the evening, but it's unbelievable. We had a white Pizza Patate (Mozarella, potato, and Rosemary) on the recommendation of the waitress. I was pretty dubious as potatoes on a pizza sounds stodgy to me, but when it came it was glorious. For â¬6.50 you get a large, very thin and light pizza, with a wonderful mixture of flavours, easily the best pizza I have ever had. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, including my other half's pasta, which was also homemade and scrumptious. It was so good we went back the next day for lunch. If you take a 10 minute walk from Tivoli to this restaurant you will be well rewarded.

Outside Rome in the small town of Colonna in the area of Castelli Romani there is this very good restaurant. The way to the place and the inmediate surroundings are not beautiful, but just 10 km from Colonna there are plenty of beautiful landascapes and palaces to see. The food is very good, also the wine list and the deserts. Price are moderate. Reccomended to pay a visit and continue to visit other historical places in the zone.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the archeological museum and were very happy with our lunch. They have a creative menu that includes many vegetarian options. My husband and I ordered pasta and both dishes were delicious. For dessert they have a selection of different flavors of tiramisu and cheesecake. We sampled one of each and they were yummy. We would definitely come back if we return to Palestrina.
