Stayed at the Hampton and desk clerk recommended this place when we asked for a close (walking distance) local place. Chips were fresh and hot, salsa flavorful and smoky. 1800 margarita was strong and well made. Ordered combo of chicken taco and chicken enchilada, with rice and beans. Came out fast, hot and delicious. Server was friendly and efficient. Would definitely eat here again!

We went to gonza expecting authentic tacos . We got that and more ! The decor is artsy and fun . The menu was a surprise . As we read about the items, we soon discovered elements of Mexican , Puerto Rican , Dominican , Colombian and even some American dishes . If you find this difficult to navigate , the staff will help, though I assure you there is no such thing as a bad dish here

Of all the Mexican food restaurants, this is the best one. Itâs a bit fresher and more authentic. It has table side guacamole.

Great deal for family outings. Awesome carribean food.
I've been going to Tropical Picken Chicken for years since the management changed. The food is almost always the same, tasty Puerto Rican with some Columbian and Cuban offerings for the most part. I recommend the Bandeja Paisa for a hearty sampler that includes several different items. The egg is sometimes really runny and the steak is always overcooked but It's tasty and fairly priced for the most part. There's a lunch portion during the week and a buffet every other Sunday. There's no salt or pepper at the tables (which is an irritant) and the green sauce near the drink machine isn't always available. My biggest complaint, however, is with the service; in particularly that of an older lady whom I assume is the owner. She refuses to acknowledge customers who walk in while she's busy and even ignored us when WE greeted HER. She seemed very cold natured but warmed up a bit after checking in to see how our meals tasted. This place is very good for the town of Wake Forest which offers a fairly dull, almost rural variety of restaurants. Hope service improves.
