Expect the unexpected from Michael Young, the owner of Valencia Luncheria as has conquered many different styles of food without compromise. Youngâs interest in cooking developed at an early age as every Sunday he would watch and study his father, a chef in a French restaurant, cook a meal for his family. My friend and I went around 12:30 pm and were surprised to see how small it looked, but once inside, it looked roomy and fun! Despite a crowd, we were seated at a table right away. The atmosphere of the place was exciting and lively. There was catchy music playing in the background as waiters and waitresses milled around trying to serve as many tables as possible. The food is inspired Latin American. The menu was extensive, making it hard to choose which item we wanted. As an appetizer we started off with a helping of chips and guacamole. The chips were good, and despite being mushy the guacamole was solid. In addition, we also got one beef arepa and empanadas which were delicious. I suggest you share a plate with someone because the portion sizes are hefty and filling. The prices are very reasonable offering great value for the food. I am recommending Valenicia as a great place to go if hungry and you are looking to spare your wallet some major damage.
