It is located 16 miles (26 km) from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina and lies within the area of the Blue Ridge Escarpment, an area of transition between mountains and piedmont, and contains numerous waterfalls. It was founded by German settlers in the late 1800s even though the area had long been settled by Scotch-Irish farmers. The population was 3,801 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Oconee County. The current mayor of Walhalla is Danny Edwards.

We usually go to another, very good, Mexican restaurant in Seneca. We tried this place based on a recommendation from a friend. We were NOT disappointed. The service was quick and efficient. My husband and I ordered the Texas Fajitas for two. This was the best flavoring of chicken, steak, and shrimp I've had in while! The portions were huge. We ended up bring home left overs and eating again. We missed out on the salsa bar, but will try it out when we go back. Highly recommend!

While there are good places to eat in the area, Beyond The Bull, offers a healthier menu. The food is not over cooked and is prepared in a clean way. Guess what, it is DELICIOUS.There is a pleasant atmosphere and prices are reasonable for what you get. Special nd special menus on some nights.
