Reviews on Latin food in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. The Red River is the heart and soul of Shreveport, a cultural and gaming center on the Louisiana/Texas border. Riverboat casinos evoke the glamour and mystery of the past while providing modern travelers with thrills and excitement. If the tables aren't your style, take a trip over the neon-lit Texas Street Bridge to the horse-racing at Louisiana Downs in Bossier City, Shreveport's thriving sister city. Visitors can unwind in one of Shreveport's botanical oases and enjoy the area's fine waterfront dining, shopping and entertainment. Shreveport sizzles in the summertime but has a temperate climate for the rest of the year.

Hands down the best, most authentic and most reasonably priced tacos in town!!! We've tried the asada, lengua, and pastor and all are amazing! The asada is off the charts delicious! Absolute perfection! You can tell they put heart and soul in their food. The chips and guacamole are unbeatable! My husband and I usually only go into Shreveport on Saturdays and it has become our restaurant of choice! The staff is consistently friendly and the food is consistently delicious! Cannot recommend this place enough!!

The food and service are consistently excellent. My wife and I have dined here many times and always enjoy it. Fancy, it's not, but wow does is the food excellent and fresh. The service has that purposeful and personal flair that I always enjoy. They always get it right. Not a place that invites lingering, but if you're looking for good food in a welcoming atmosphere, look no further.Dr. Scott says: Try it with confidence.

My hubby and I visited El Mono after several friends recommended it. We werenât sure what to expect, but we wanted âsomething different.â Well we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. We started with the shrimp skewers. The shrimp were deveined and cooked perfectly. The red sauce on them was spicy, but not overpowering, and everything was seasoned well. The two dishes we tried were B1 and B4 on the menu. B1 is the traditional beef stir fry Lomo Saltado, strips of beef with onions, tomatoes and potatoes in a soy sauce brown gravy. Served with garlic rice. This was great. B4 is Arroz Tapado, ground beef with raisins and olives (think sweet & salty) between layers of garlic rice. My husband really liked this dish. Overall we had a good experience. Staff was friendly, and service was decently fast, considering the food is cooked to order. We will be back, maybe for the Brunch Buffet so we can try a larger variety. Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed!See you soon!Matt, Founder
