Reviews on Latin food in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. High in the cool hills, this colonial gem of cobblestone streets and picturesque churches inspires artists with its color, character and light. Baroque, neoclassical and neogothic mix in the city's buildings, notably at the pink stone 18th-century church on the Plaza Principal. Founded in 1542, the city is a mix of Hispanic and Mesoamerican influences.

Familiar atmosphere, great food and service. Beautiful terrace. Come in and enjoy the best food of San Miguel.
I've really enjoyed Tacos Don Felix over the years, and was excited for the opportunity to go there several weeks ago. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The rib eye steak, one of the specials of the evening and recommended by the waiter, was tasteless. As was my husband's mushroom topped steak. The other couple we were with said nothing about their meals, which is unusual. Lastly...the Margaritas, still served in their large glasses, were weak and watered down with too much ice. Perhaps it was just a bad night, I'm not sure. But part of me wonders whether this restaurant is resting on it's laurels. It's always had such a marvelous reputation.

The food and the staff was amazing. We had shrimp and fishtacos, and it was honestly the best we had in Mexico (we study in Mexico city). For the amount of food you get, the prices are really good. Go here!!

Mexican and Tex Mex food.evening Live music . Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vegetarian. Easy access. Catering service
My wife and I, along with another couple, stopped in for lunch just by chance. Wow! Tammy & I shared the four taco lunch along with a cold beer. They also served really good guacamole with chips. I believe the tacos were $110 pecos. Really good and plenty for us to share. Nice folks and good service. Worth your time.

I was there for a Thanksgiving celebration with a group. I forget how many courses we were served, but none of it was anything you have had before and it ranged from good to great. The ambience is a bit too fancy (and Parisian somehow) to suit me but, some folks love that.

3/5We three British middle aged guys were touring this part of Mexico in May.We are Vegetarian Pescatarians who were having trouble finding any dedicated vegetarian restaurants. Luckily we found one in SMA, although only by reading the reviews in TA. As we are grazers we had already had a light brunch at Chikatana, late light lunch at Bistro 300 and were still a bit peckish on the Friday evening!I had checked out the menu beforehand, like what so saw and it was reasonably priced and took pictures of the menu. I showed the pictures to my friends who were intrigued. We arrived at about 8:30pm and found a table in the bigger room (occupied by mainly tourists) and were presented with the English menus by the cheerful waitress who I had met earlier. The choices looked delicious and packed with goodies. We ordered two very well priced Negra Modelos (29), Corona (29), a selection of tacos and guacamole (79).By 8:30 the beers arrived and the table was laid with tortilla chips with four sauces which were explained to us in detail about their rising hotness. At 8:38 a large bowl of Guacamole appeared and it was very tasty. Within a minute the tacos arrived and looked generous and very appetising. A bowl of small halved limes also was presented. The Taco Bigote (49) was delicious along with the Taco Norteno (59) and the Taco Del Huerto (53). They certainly knew how to mix good fresh flavours and present them (probably to an unaware tourist crowd of mostly carnists). The atmosphere was convivial and service was good so we enjoyed the meal and on finishing we asked for the bill which came printed at 9:01pm as a reasonable 327 which we paid in cash, rounding it up to 350.We left happy after about forty minutes; one of our quicker meals but we had already eaten earlier and the service was fast and efficient. We were so glad we had found an actual vegan place in Mexico albeit to do it full time for us is another step, although tempting if the quality is this good (my partner cooks very good vegan if eggs and dairy products products are left out - but most vegetable or mushroom stock cubes have traces of milk and too much salt in them). All told a great convivial place for great food at a good price.

Bar/restaurant focusing on Mezcal. Over 70 different bottles and a variety of mezcal based cocktails. A short and interesting with mexican flavours at its core.
Back visiting in San Miguel de Allende and stopped to visit San Mezcal again. Everything was so good!!! From the guacamole to tacos to jicama salad...it doesn't matter what plate you order...it is all so good you'll want to come back for more!Last time I was here I didn't try any of the drinks, but I'm glad I did this time. I had a tamarind margarita and a "something" mule. (Can't remember actual name of drink).

Authentic fish tacos and shrimp tacos Ensenada, Baja California style. We also offer ceviche tostadas, shrimp cocktails, marlin tacos, spicy shrimp tacos and much more.
Look closely as you go up Mesones; itâs on the north side. The food is fresh, delicious and served hot in little covered baskets. I recommend the Chili relleno with smoked marlin but there is lots to choose from. Staff is courteous, attentive. Prices are reasonable

Under clear, star-studded skies, the Luna Rooftop Tapas Bar serves up savory authentic Mexican and Spanish tapas that can be enjoyed individually or family style. A tempting, casual place to linger after the day's pursuits, this al fresco setting presents
Sometimes a rooftop spot gets really built up then it falls short. Totally not the case here. Expertly crafted cocktail, weâre talking top level crafting are a must. The food is also excellent, though more of a tapas and snack variety. Itâs pricey by San Miguel standards but the view, drinks and service is the reason. It definitely fills up!

Bringing the best of the outdoors inside, Restaurante del Parque lives up its name. Embrace the traditional flavors of México in a relaxed, elegant setting. A delicious menu is complemented by a stunning drink selection, making it the perfect venue for co
This restaurant is inside a small hotel but non-residents can dine here. A charming setting with the dining area bordering an inner garden. For dinner we had guacamole for starters and it was a huge serving unlike what we would get here in Toronto. Enough to last you through you meal and they kept topping up the nachos. My husband and I had roasted chicken coated with a pumpkin seed and amaranth crust - absolutely delicious and the vegetables were grilled perfectly. Sadly we were too full to try dessert. A charming little restaurant, service is good.Dear Lyn P:Thank yo for taking time to review our Restaurante del Parque and delighted to read that you had a good dining experience and that the service met your expectations. The chicken is pretty good isn´t it? Come back soon!
