Find out what Latin restaurants to try in San Juan Teotihuacan. Teotihuacán is a town and municipality located in the State of Mexico. It is in the northeast of the Valley of Mexico, 45 km northeast of Mexico City and 119 km from the state capital of Toluca. Teotihuacan takes its name from the ancient city and World Heritage site that is located next to the municipal seat. "Teotihuacan" is from Nahuatl and means "place of the gods." In Nahua mythology the sun and the moon were created here. The seal of the municipality features the Pyramid of the Sun from the archeological site, which represents the four cardinal directions. The building is tied to a character that represents water which is linked to an arm that is joined to the head of an indigenous person who is seated and speaking. This person represents a god. Much of the history of the area has been tied to the ancient city, most recently involves controversy connected with commerce and development around the site.

I've been to a lot of places in the world, some with pretty bad service, but nothing compares to the horrible service we received at La Catrina. We ordered our food, and although the waitress brought some items relatively quickly, other items took forever (including a margarita). The main dishes (that weren't pasta) took so long, and without any checking up on us by the waitress) that my husband was ready to get the check and go eat somewhere else. We should have done that because the food that we received was only half of what we ordered.I got the Fajitas de Pollo, which is supposed to come with french fries, refried beans and guacamole. I only got the meat and the tortillas. My husband got one of their steak specialties. His was supposed to come with a baked potato and chilis. He also only got the meat. The response from the waitress when we brought this to her attention? Oh, I can get the french fries now. And then she never even brought them.Anything that we asked for after the initial orders took forever to arrive, including getting a steak knife and any subsequent drinks. The level of service is the kind that in the U.S. would result in a visit from the manager apologizing for all the mix-ups and giving us our meals for free. Yet instead, the waitress added a tip onto the bill without asking us or us confirming that. Seriously, I would never go here again. Also, they had stray dogs entering in and out of the restaurant, the mariachi wasn't great. There really is nothing to recommend this place. So to sum up, the service was horrible, the environment was bad, and the food that we got was only ok (definitely not worth the wait, the cost, or the trouble). Avoid this place!!!!
La verdad no pensé nunca encontrar tan buena comida en este lugar !!Los mariscos son de primera y los platos están tan bien elaborados y tan ricos , que no importar dedicarle un rato a la guladéjese tentar por este lugar !!

Reasonably priced buffet lunch..as part of the group tour. But food was below average. Large selection but mostly cold. Nice entertainment and well ventilated and well lit dining hall. I saw grass hoppers and red worms on the menu after finishing lunch otherwise would have tried those traditional delicacies. Very close to entrance number 2.

Mass buffet vibe, barely adequate quality of food... only half of which has signage. Worst Mexican food (if you can call it that) weâve had in Mexico. No much to say about the cheesy entertainment.Best to avoid if you can. Appreciate these tourist options are all over the place; but they could be a whole lot better.
