Two of us had lunch there today. We arrived a bit early and the restaurant and parking lot were almost full. We were seated promptly and provided with menus and ice water. The entree selections are massive and it was difficult to decide what to choose. There are vegetarian options. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, colorful but tasteful. There is adequate off-street parking. First came restaurant made chips and salsa, one fresh tomato salsa and one brown bean/cabbage. I had a veggie fajitas which was delivered to our table sizzling hot and accompanied by rice, black beans, guacamole, sour cream and tortillas. My guest had a taco salad which came in a tortilla bowl. It was a delicious lunch and I was able to eat only half of the fajitas--it was a large serving.Service was quick and the food well prepared.I had requested half flour and half corn tortillas but received only one kind, which was o.k. Would definitely return when in the area.

This is one of our go to places in our home town for a great meal and beer. We love taking friends and visitors here. I love the Barbacoa Tacos. I order them every time. Others have ordered other items on the menu, and they said they were delicious as well! The beer is also great, made right here! Simply the best Mexican restaurant in Salem, that also happens to make their own beer!

We have been eating here for at least 15 years. Always good, friendly service and a festive atmosphere. Very flavorful Mesquite grilled dishes. We have noticed that the portion sizes have been getting smaller as the menu is revised, and they quit serving what was the best Pico de Gallo in town a few years back, which was the best part of any meal there. Now serving just a normal salsa. But we still eat there every couple of months.

We ate dinner here on 7/26/18 (based on reviews here and on Yelp). It's a little hole-in-the wall family run restaurant. Don't let the appearance fool you - the food was EXCELLENT! It's a small place, with a few tables inside, and a few outside. We chose to eat outside.I ordered the Enchilada Verdes (chicken) and my wife had the Tacos Dorados (beef). We started off with the standard chips and salsa - but this wasn't the Americanized version of salsa. It was basically veggies and spices, no 'red sauce'. They also gave us a shallow dish of refried beans for dipping as well. The beans were very light - almost like ground beans and some spices... not the thick pasty mess that most Mexican restaurants serve as refried beans. Real tasty! My enchilada's were awesome! The verde (green) sauce was very light, and tasted more like green chili's than just sauce. Dish included rice and refried beans as well. Again, the beans were the same as was served with the chips. My wife says the Tacos Dorados were "the bomb" - rolled tortillas instead of the americanized version to Tacos. (Think of what you find in grocery stores called Taquitos). They came with sour cream, lettuce, avocado slices, and tomato slices. She also had rice and refried beans on the side. Both of our meals came with a crumbly white cheese on top - not sure what it was, but tasted kind of like a cheese made from cottage cheese. Interesting flavor! Very good!We would definately eat here again, no problem!!! Very different (and delicious) take on Mexican food than we're used to in the Americanized chain restaurants.

We were in the mood for Mexican food and had heard good things about Garibaldi. We were not disappointed. The chips and salsa included a plate with beans and cabbage for scooping. The chips were crunchy and the salsa was just right. My friend had the Chimichanga which was the lunch special for the day and was very happy with it. I had chicken Enchiladas. The rice that came with it was very flavorful and the presentation was appetizing. We didnât think we could eat all of it, but we did. It was that good, plus we were hungry. Good service, good food. Highly recommended. We will return.
