Worth popping in to see the huge oven but don't bother to pay the 4 soles for aempanada - thick dough with hardly any stuffing! At the cafe next to it they charged 10 soles for a small Cusquena beer which is a lot more than we have been charged elsewhere.

We wandered the street looking for El Sabor before a local volunteered they were closed on Saturday, but would open the next day. So, with a renewed appetite my wife and I returned the next evening for dinner. My first thought was "this is it?" the restaurant was rather dark, almost empty and painted in a pinkish, red. Ummmmm, my wife wanted to leave, but we persevered. ..Any "menu de dia" was long gone so we ordered ala carte. She the Pollo chaufa and Lomo Saltado for me. Both were heaping plates of Peruvian goodness we couldn't finish. Should have gotten together and ordered "Uno por dos."

Where to eat Peruvian food in Pisac: The Best Restaurants and Bars
The best establishment for open fire cooked pork. It has an amazing view of the Pisac valley. The meat is cooked to perfection. Slow cooked over an open pit. Tender meat and crunchy skin. The family that owns the place are very friendly and super accommodating. We eat here every chance we get. Simply delicious food with an amazing view.
