Reviews on Latin food in Mendoza, Province of Mendoza, Argentina. Known best for its wine, Mendoza is a bustling city to the east of Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere. Although it draws its share of adventure travelers, lured by the climbing, skiing, hiking and rafting opportunities within an easy drive of downtown, the area’s more than 1,000 vineyards bring oenophiles in even greater numbers.

Excellent food and cocktails and very cool setting. Menu is a bit confusing â there seem to be two restaurants so there is a bar menu and a restaurant menu. Doesnât really matter â all the choices are interesting and tasty. Staff is friendly and, if you Spanish isnât up to snuff, can speak enough English for you to have a great time. Only complaint is the music â love the sound track but turning it down a bit would facilitate better conversation.

This is a great low key bar with terrific empanadas, and really inexpensive. Please add it to the list of Mendoza restaurants!
There is not really something bad to say, But we Where simply not blown away. We had empanadas (good!) a fine bottle of white chardonnay wine and grilled vegetables, and pasta with verdures. Nothing fancy, but good food. If you want a simple meal, sitting outside on Villanueva, we Would recommend this One. (But, there are far better ones though like Josefina)

Our menu includes a great variety of delicious grilled argentinean meat cuts, delightful homemade pasta, gourmet dished, fresh fish a seafood, and mouthwatering deserts. The owners have personally selected each wine to include in owr wine list an alternat
The owner of our hotel recommended this restaurant. It is located on the main street of the neighborhood where a lot of other restaurants and bars are located. The service was good and the steak was divine. Be careful, the portions are huge! Overall the best steak I had in Mendoza.

A unique place in Mendoza where to taste typical food, enjoy good music andthe finest wine of the region. Patrona is the first and only tematic restaurante about Mendoza´s harvest wine tradition.
We arrived at 12:30, opening hour for lunch. The interior was stuffy, and uninviting, so we sat at one of 4 tables outside, next to the traffic and the open drains - but there was a pleasant breeze. The male waiter told us the special for the day, which wasn't something we preferred, so we ordered from the English menu. The meals took an hour to arrive, with no prior indication why they were delayed. The "medium well" steak was still bloody and the prosciutto was very salty. When asked about the meal, my wife mentioned these things, and was told it was our own fault because we had not ordered the "recommended" meal. Evidently nothing else was worth eating, in his opinion - certainly in ours.We regret it has not been to your liking, we are a small restaurant with a lot of customers at lunch in a house for 9 years in the center of the city, where clearly there is a lot of traffic, maybe the waiter suggested a meal but we would never think from our policy that is your fault. But we are always open to receive your opinions positively to keep improving. Regards

We recently had dinner at La Barra. The restaurant has lovely outdoor seating under grape vines which had huge clumps of plump grapes hanging down.We ordered a steak to share and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection. We also had a side dish grape tomatoes, onions and basil which was slightly heated in olive of which was very tasty. The only downside is that you have to pay by cash. No credit cards.

We are tired of the typical Argentine offerings of steak/pizza/pasta, so went to Sabrosura. The food was fantastic, the service was fast and attentive, the atmosphere is that of a nice restaurant without nice restaurant prices. We plan to go back there again in our 4 days in Mendoza. They did not have the classic ceviche, which we wanted to try, but we tried what was essentially a traditional Peruvian sampler plate (can't remember the name, it was the last main course on the menu) and a traditional Peruvian dessert with limone in the name. Highly recommend this place. Just be aware that they do not accept credit cards.

My husband and I had the 7 courses with wine pairing. Excellent decision on our part. Each course was a tasting portion. Just the right amount of food for the complete meal. The wine pairing goes very well with each dish. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable of the food they serve. Its a quaint restaurant, reservation is a must.

We chose this restaurant due to the name alone - we have a friend who often says âJesus Mariaâ. When we arrived we were the first there at 830pm. The service was fabulous with helpful assistance with our language questions - the waiter spoke perfect English. The food was fabulous - the Morcilla was the best ever tasted and the salads and other food was amazing. The restaurant filled up later and the atmosphere was fun.
