Left the airport to see something else and thougt Manhattan was far away. Simple salads and pots. But the meat was terrible. This "Brazil" restaurant either cant prepare the meat properly before the grill - or simply buy bad quality cuts. The only piece that was decent was the sausage. When complaining the meat wasnt teder... they came with a sharper knife! They would go under in no time in Brazil...Not even cheap. Go elesewhere.
Fantastic Latin American food from an unassuming basement eatery. The food here is really amazing and very well priced. I love the Pernil pork shoulder, but even the baked chicken and rice and beans are great here. The new location is also much nicer. Be ready for a bit of a line though as people have discovered the great food here. Grab the $7 lunch special and be full all day.
Zanchos is a Peruvian restaurant that offers a variety of delicious sandwiches, sides and platters. This restaurant is a must try for anyone who has ever craved a Peruvian sandwich!

I have been here at least 10 times but have not written a review. I don't live close, but fly out of Newark Airport regularly, and this is just 10 minutes away, great for a meal before or after travel. You might be afraid of Newark, but this restaurant is in the Ironbound district of the city, and seems a bit safer. There are a lot of Portuguese and Brazilian residents of this area too (not connecting ethnicity to safety though). The restaurant has its own parking area, and I have never felt concerned about leaving luggage in the car while there. Both Brazilians and non-Brazilians come here, and I have met many who are repeat customers. Boi Na Brasa is such a great place because it combines a great atmosphere with great food and reasonable prices. There are all your Brazilian favorites on a very extensive menu, and the servings are large. The staff is Brazilian. You can dine formally in the dining room, where they accommodate small or large groups, but I often prefer dining in the front bar/café area, especially if I am alone. The sausage with yucca appetizer and shrimp in garlic sauce appetizers are incredible, and are good for 2-3 people to share before a meal. The picanha steak, and moqueca fish dish are genuine. All come with salad bar. You can also get the limitless rodizio style of meat service if you wish. Enjoy!

My first impression was disappointment , the food taste and presentation was not what I heard from friends but considering that I can not eat shellfish, may have missed on the information that what was meant really delicious were the shellfish dishes. The service was OK good, not great. The place was very dark ( this is only my opinion - I don't like to dine on restaurants that gives me the feeling that ceiling is very low and tables are too close)...TV was loud in Spanish channel music program. But the food was good and the waiter attentive and professional. Definitely would recommend to anyone to try this place.

This place came highly recommended and I know not to trust that person again. We were seated quickly and they brought cold bread to the table. The waiter brought us tea and water and then disappeared. The person bringing meats (we got the RodÃzio) was very attentive but all of the meat was over cooked (burnt/charred/dry). We had to ask for the waiter to get a refill on tea and water as he never came by the table again. When we were finished we had to ask someone to get a bill because again the waiter was no where to be found. There were lots of wait staff congregating around together so I know they had sufficient staffing. The food wasn't very good and as I said neither was the service. Next time McDonald's would be a better choice.
