Reviews on Latin food in Hanga Roa, Easter Island, Chile. The epic Moai stone statues that stand guard over Easter Island are among the main attractions of this remote and lonely part of the world. Hanga Roa is Easter Island’s commercial hub and its only village. The airport is here, as are several restaurants, guest houses and hotels. Use it as a base for island adventures, which may include trekking, exploring white sand beaches, snorkeling, diving, visiting archaeological sites or even your own private spiritual journey.

OK, this restaurant had the Island's best Ceviche and a great view of the surfers. Of the 8 non breakfast meals I had on Easter Island, I had ceviche at everyone. Hands down the best ceviche on the Island and a terrific view of the beach and the surfers. If there was Italian food in the menu, I never noticed. As a lunch spot, I highly recommend it

We ate here 3 times (twice for lunch, once for dinner) and the food was great on 2 occasions. However, we also had issues with getting change back, we paid in cash, local currency and noticed that most people were paying by card, so that would prevent any mistakes happening. The first time the waitress didn't return any change, but it was a small amount (on top of the 10%) 2,000 pesos so we left it. The second time change was given for 30,000 Pesos instead of 40,000, so we had to dispute this and felt we were being taken advantage of. The waitress sorted it out, but it left a sour taste in our mouth. The quesadillas were fantastic (pollo and queso) except burnt on our last visit, as we had waited over 30 minutes for them we scraped the tops off as we were really hungry. It's a nice laid back place and if you pay in cash, make sure you check your change before leaving!
