Enjoy the flavor of Brazil in a large variety of dishes with Brazilian and its European / African / Mediterranean cuisine influences: Picanha, Churrasco, Feijoada (black beans stew) Moqueca (shrimp, fish or veggies with coconut milk and palm oil) Seafood,
We reserved at able for 4 + toddler early on a weekday in December to celebrate our son's birthday. We turned out to be the only patrons for most of our dinner. The upside is that we had the full attention of the owner/waiter, who really identified with the toddler (grandson) and went above-and-beyond to accommodate rapid delivery of the mom's meal when said toddler decided to "crash" after missing his afternoon nap.Oh well. Sometimes things work out and sometimes they don't. Mom and tot left for home while we enjoyed a panoply of dishes with son all to ourselves (unusual anymore!).Now, I'd love a few more selections than the typical SoAmer cervezas. I did order a glass of house wine, knowing full-well that it wouldn't really satisfy but it at least satisfactorily accompanied my beef dish.Lots of leftovers to serve as the core of future lunches!Note that Samba isn't a "Fogo da Chao" alternative. The focus here is on authentic Brazilian/SoAmer dishes and not on upscale churrascaria presenting unlimited meat directly off-the-bone. Nice option for downtown Hopkins.

Excellent but limited menu. We had flautas as an appetizer, a beet salad (wonderful) and carne asada as the main - good portions, nice presentation and wonderful seasonings. The beer and wine selections were a bit limited, but offered something for everyone. Our server, Juan, was attentive and pleasant.

Iâve never eaten at a restaurant with such an interesting mix of cuisines. The Senegalese Peanut Curry was excellent, as were the Phuket Noodles, the Chicken Tinga Tacos, the Cuban Pork, and even the Nachos. While many restaurants will offer a mix of cuisines, usually they donât prepare any one very well, but that was not the case here. I would definitely return.

I've had great lunches at the Harriet Brasserie, but had never experienced dinner there. Recently, my husband and I went with another couple on a weeknight. Three of us ordered the salmon dinner and thought it was superb. My husband ordered the fettuccine and thought it was excellent as well. The chocolate cake and tres leches dessert were both delicious. Our server was attentive and extremely pleasant. I would highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely return.

Several friends have encouraged me to try this place so my foodie son who came to visit and wanted to try some place that we had not been before. Thankfully we came early--a little before 5 PM. By 5:30 the place was full. (A reservation is probably a good idea at a usually busy time.)This place specialises in food from Northern South America, chiefly Colombia and Venezuela. The preparation was tops across the board. There are also a lot of vegetarian and vegan choices--not always easy to find in Latin American restaurants. The centre pieces are arepas, masa harina pancakes thicker than tortillas that are arranged in excellent sandwiches that are sort of a cross between a sandwich and a taco. They are served with yucca fries which have all the satisfying crunch of good french fries but have a lot more heft. They come with either aioli or chimichurri. (Or order two and get one of each!)The small plate starters were excellent across the board. One was based on brussels sprouts with mole and other tastes, another with roasted cauliflower. There were lots of other things we wanted to try.The dessert menu was well thought through. What can one do originally with a flourless chocolate cake?--You can cover it with marshmallow (Italian meringue) caramelized with a blowtorch and studded with broken chunks of caramel. There was a passionfruit flan, and I can't recall the rest of the excellent choices. There are lots of cocktails, a number of mocktails (most of them sweet--try adding some bitter ones) and delicious passionfruit lemonade, which was my choice. Service was prompt and friendly. It is clear that these folks love cooking and you can feel it in the food. You will leave with an inner smile from that joy and that will bring you back, as it will me.

Mine: soft poached eggs (though I only can ever eat one, even here) over/with black beans and white rice, plantains (maduros) Cuban toast. And that tamarind hot sauce. Sigh. Heavenly. And perfect café con leche. Hers: two pancakes, one mango the other corn. Real bacon. Iced cold brew. Ours: a shaded table outside, after a short wait, even on a late Thursday morning.

This restaurant is a wonderful example of what a small, family owned establishment should be! Truly a magical find! We decided to try this bistro based on a local recommendation. Upon arrival, the location seemed questionable. It is situated between a Chinese food restaurant and a Dominos pizza. There is nice outdoor seating for enjoying the nice weather. Once you enter the restaurant, you will be quickly greeted by one of the friendly staff members. The restaurant is nicely decorated in a style that signifies its Latin-American influence. Once seated, you will be offered some drinks. I would recommend the wonderful wine flight, as this was some of the nicest wines to compliment a meal that I have had in a while. We placed our order and the journey began! For an appetizer, we had the ceviche. I must say, that I didnât expect much from a ceviche in the middle of Minnesota. I was very wrong. This was one of the best I have ever had. It has a wonderful citrus flavor from the lime juice, as well as a good amount of shrimp with diced onions and tomatoes. Served with house made tortilla chips, this is the perfect appetizer! Next, I had the wedge salad. As many as I have had over the years, this may be my absolute favorite. It is the perfect size with nice, thick pieces of bacon, tomatoes, boiled eggs, and an absolutely delicious dressing. Perfect! For the entrée, I had the seared scallops. These were amazing. Perfectly cooked with a great spice to them, these topped off the great meal. The risotto was also very good, but just a little on the soft side for me. It was so good, that we went back again the following night! We had the same thing, only I swapped the scallops for the beef filet. This was another dynamite dish with a beautiful piece of tender meat with good flavor. The yucca fries with the chimichurri topping was absolutely delicious! Overall, this is an absolute must is you are in the area. I highly recommend this! I just wish they were closer to where I live!
