East Palo Alto (abbreviated E.P.A.) is a city in San Mateo County, California, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of East Palo Alto was 28,155. It is situated on the San Francisco Peninsula, roughly halfway between the cities of San Francisco and San Jose. To the north and east is the San Francisco Bay, to the west is the city of Menlo Park, and to the south the city of Palo Alto. Despite being called "East" Palo Alto, this is a misnomer, as the city is precisely due north of Palo Alto. While often incorrectly assumed to be part of the city of Palo Alto, East Palo Alto has always been a separate entity since its founding as an unincorporated community. It is also in San Mateo County, while Palo Alto is in Santa Clara County. The two cities are separated only by San Francisquito Creek and, largely, the Bayshore Freeway (the vast majority of East Palo Alto is northeast of the freeway, while all of the residential part of Palo Alto is southwest of the freeway). The revitalization projects in 2000, and high income high-tech professionals moving into new developments, including employees from Google and Facebook, have begun to eliminate the cultural and economic differences between the two cities. East Palo Alto and Palo Alto share both telephone area codes and postal ZIP codes.

Stopped by for a quick late dinner with business colleagues and had a few very good tacos in a very busy and popular place. This is a casual fun Mexican taco place. Lots of people enjoying both drinks and food, for a good reason. The menu is very much focused on tacos and I went with a trio of different flavors. They were all good, although they did vary in quality.Service was efficient and friendly. We did not stop for long but enjoyed the visit.

This Cuban style restaurant offers a nice variety of food options, including gluten free. I had the marinated cheese, and ceviche. Both were excellent. We had a difficult partyâ3 of us were on time for the reservation, 2 were over 40 minutes late. The server (J.J.?) did a great job adapting to changing circumstances. The atmosphere was comfortable, warm and welcoming.

Family owned & operated biregional Mexican restaurant. This is my favorite kind of Mexican place. Authentic ingredients & food served in a family setting. You know the kind of place, they never have business cards or menus (they always just ran out). You see what others are getting and say "I'll have one of those". The #1 from the wife's region, a "dried beef" with homemade potato "chips". It is wonderful. The carne asada is excellent. As we're the chicken enchiladas. The tortillas are clearly homemade. The rice is perfectly cooked individual grains & Mexican seasoned. I call these pinto beans ice cream because they are creamy and you keep eating them.Facebook is close by if you want a touristy photo by the big thumbs up. The new hq, under construction, 2.0, has a park on the roof. If the employees knew this place would be mobbed...

I was invited to a dinner at Pampas as part of a business event. At first, I was worried because I am vegetarian. Fortunately, there are multiple vegetarian options. I was not hungry, so I opted for the cheese plate. Having been a meat eater in the past, I can tell that the meat dishes were quite nice looking. However, they were far from what you get in Brazil. Service was attentive, the place inviting. Would I come back? Probably not as it is not the type of food I eat.

This was a fun place to go, and the food was very good. The service was excellent and the place was quickly packed after we got there. We had the grilled octopus (pulpo), and it was kind of chewy, but tasted good. We also had the skirt steak, and that was very well prepared.

Awesome margaritas to start; guacamole was under seasoned; salsas OK; chips still hot-which was great !Dates were as good as we remembered; tasty chorizo stuffing inside, crispy bacon on the outside-YUMMY! but 2 for 12 dollars? Camarones also amazing flavours but very expensive - 4 shrimp for 20 dollars? Atmosphere is great but these are NOBU prices..anyhow....
