Ricar2 Resteruarnt is located on the road between Dominical and San Isidro. Our location sits in hills above the City of San Isidro with spectacular views of the city and mountains. Ricardo's menu is a reflection of his Costa Rican heritage combined with
Went to this place tonight, we usually go to another place close by for the view but decided to try this place. Menu was a lot more extensive. I had the grilled ribs, wife had tuna.Rib was pretty good, potato good and the salad was good, they do have Olive oil n balsamic, big plus. All in all it was a good meal, the only negative was the wiater, bigger guy, was kind of rude. Don't know what his problem was but he was short and maybe impatient? Maybe needs some customer service skills training.

Mexican food in Uvita, come and enjoy our Tacos
Group of 4 came here for dinner. We sat by the bar side where it is more lighted. We ordered chicken, carnita, al pastor, and fish tacos. The chicken was dry and fish was just ok. Al pastor was definitely the winner.

We have been there 3 or 4 times. All the times the food and service was decent, nothing espectacular, but we liked mostly because of the location. The first time we were served by an adult guy, who looked and act like the owner. He acted very nice, but at the end, when we got the bill, we just received a handwritten paper with the total amount. We mentally calculated and it seemed wrong, so we went to the cashier and ask for the details. On other handwritten bill (the one that the server/owner writes himself and give to the cashier) it was written down some items that we didn't order at all. We clarified the misunderstanding (which sometimes can happen, you know), and the owner dissapeared, not apologies, but that's fine, it was 50% chance that it was a mistake. So we decided to go back a 2nd time, asking again for the bill at the end, little "mistakes" again, like changing the prices from the menu. The third and LAST time we were also charged like 4 times for the drink that only 1 person ordered. Every drink had added extra colones on the price (more than showed in the menu). The cashier (a mature lady who didn't act very nicely) quickly calculated the new total and gave us the total, but we calculated ourselves and the total was wrong again, of course over charging. This time we definetely left with the feeling of being ripped off. I hate dishonest people, and no matter if you food or service is good, if you are trying to rip your customers off, that is NOT CORRECT. Also, not giving proper invoices is illegal. I didn't mind that the food was overall, or even if the server didn't check on us. What really matter for me is the HONESTY, for locals, for tourists, just be fair and honest on your bussiness and you will have success. Otherwise, keep stealing from your customers who TRUST YOU, when you give them the total amount handwritten. Every dollar or colon you are stealing from your customers, actually you are stealing to yourself. And this is for all, for the owner (s), cashier and servers, because they were all involved on these dodgy/tricky transactions during all the 3 times we went there. Hoping you get honest, starting paying your taxes, giving receipts to your customers, so they can check that everything is correct, and RESPECT THE BUSSINESS. For people like you, the customers start to be distrustful. Ps. I can see that this restaurant also have very bad reviews from last year regarding the same issue (overcharging), and I'm not surprised.Buenas Noches! Buenas Noches!

From fresh fruit to fresh fish this lovely restaurant does breakfast, lunch and dinner well. I had snapper the night I arrived and it was so fresh I suspect it was caught that day. The owner, Thomas, greeted me and proved to be a very reliable source of information on wildlife and exciting adventure available in the area. You just don't find this personal attention in most places.

Parrilladas y comida tÃpica costarricense. Hermosa vista al mar . Especial para eventos privados y cenas románticas.
Searching for an amazing culinary experience in the Rain Forest? Rancho Ceilo Alto is not to be missed. This hidden gem offers a Unique and Delicious Farm to Table experience. Nestled into the jungle, overlooking the Pacific Ocean this beautiful open-air Rancho has true Costa Rican charm. Owner and chef JazmÃn GodÃnez, presents a food experience like no other. The 4-course presentation includes integration of ingredients from her on-site garden and local organic farmers. Each dish is prepared with love over and open fire and includes layers of flavors as well as edible and medicinal plants. I was blown away by the level of technique used for each preparation and presentation. Not only is the food amazing, but Jazmin welcomes you like family. From the time that you arrive until the time you leave Jazmin is explaining each presentation including the benefits of the medicinal plants included. Definitely an experience not to be missed. Note; reservations required. In addition to dining, Jazmin also offers cooking classes using local ingredients and techniques. Also included is use and explanation of edible and medicinal plants.Thank you

The guide who arranged the tour booked this accommodation. The view from the cabin/veranda was lovely but that and the restaurant are this location's strength. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked. The sliding glass door to enter was stuck and required two pairs of hand to shut. It needed to be locked either from the inside or outside to stay shut. The wifi in the cabin was sketchy. There was a coffee maker but no mugs or coffee or condiments. The t.v. didn't work. The bathroom was sorely in need of a coat of paint. The bathroom sink drain pipe had a hole so that when draining the sink, water splashed all into the vanity cabinet. Seems like no one is interested in making repairs.Very disappointing for such an idyllic setting.

The best coffee grown and managed by a WOMEN! In a place where you usually only find instant coffee, a nice cup of coffee with breakfast or lunch or a hearty, healthy and delicious smoothie... any combo of fruit for the same price!!! Worth every penny!! L
After a morning of surfing we asked for a recommendation for a good lunch spot serving local fair. This place did not let us down! We were a group of 13, including 6 kids. They had a great menu, lots of options, and it's a family run restaurant. Nice vibe. The staff were very warm and friendly and the food was great! The place is known for their smoothies and for good reason. The mango smoothie in particular is off the hook and I highly recommend. Many of us tried the "rice with" dishes, including shrimp, squid, seafood mix. All were tasty and a hearty portions.

We stopped by for lunch and had a great experience! We have had patacones at several spots and these were, by far, the best. We ordered the avocado hummus to go with them and were not disappointed. The pork nachos were also very good. Cindy, the owner, is an absolute sweetheart and makes the experience even better. Our beers were served in frosted mugs and the jalapeño margaritas were great. Loved this place and canât wait to go back on my next trip. Awww what a pleasure to have you at Los Laureles, thanks so very much for your time reviewing us it means a lot to us and for your visit so glad you enjoy your meals and beer. Looking forward for your next visit to Costa Rica and Los Laureles, thanks ladies , Cindy
