The original Guisados is in Boyle Heights (East Los Angeles) and a thriving community that Mexicans call home.Sometimes, simply is better, especially when you're dealing with basic items such as tacos. Guisados offers an excellent location. Clean, roomy and easy to find. Their taco presentation is more gourmet and perhaps that is their agreed strategy to charge a higher than normal price. They do a good job and really embrace the community. Also, they offer a wide variety of meats and filings as well as homemade tortillas. I will come back to support them. But, for my regular taco fix, I know tons of other spots which also specialize in fresh ingredients and they give you more bang for your buck. Sometimes, I just enjoy all of the grease (liquid) oozing from a good old fashioned carnitas taco which cost $2, maybe $2.50.

my wife and i went to eat here late at night. the parking was a little difficult along with ordering your food. it was a little complicated if it is your first time there. when you go, you will understand. they have security inside and outside. the quality of food is great but i would like to go again when they are not busy so i can study the menu better.

Let me start by saying the staff is the best. They are on you from the entry of the doorway. The restaurant has allot of decor to make you feel your in Mexico. The food was amazing the taste of the meat and the service was the best ived had in town. Will be going back more often now Dear Miguel, this is Margarita Avila whose family has owned this restaurant for over 50 years. Thank you for your affirming review. We appreciate when our customer notice our effort. We still have cooks that my mother personally trained. Please introduce yourself on your next visit, it would be a pleasure to meet you.

The folks at El Pescador take Mexican food and ramp it up to a delicious art form & do it with style and authenticity. Extensive menu of favorites and specials welcomes you to the great food that's coming. Have a drink too, if it's after work! You'll enjoy. ...

Please don't be discouraged for the location. They have valet parking at weekends and the BEST Best Chile en Nogada!! Remember the famous movie called "Como Agua para Chocolate" where they have Chile en Nogada, well here you find them at its best setting! Too bad that I couldn't get the recipe!!! As a Mexican American I know what is really a good Mexican food and here Ramiro and Jaime really know what they are doing! Couple years ago I visit for the first time with friends and they were very pleased with the food and service. Love to hear that they don't serve burritos and tacos which is most of the non-Latinos know about the Mexican cuisine. The only thing that I don't like is that they extended the restaurant area and a crafts store was added. I am not against our Mexican traditions but when I want to eat I don't want to be distract by the anything else. Love the wall with the pottery pieces and during my last visited I inquired about a painting that was on display but too bad it was out of my reach. I have stopped multiple times to get Enchiladas al Mole which are delicious too! Once I saw a television anchorman there and this is a place to find a well diverse clientele. The Chefs are very charming and once I saw one that waved at me from another table. they serve Cetto Wines which are from Baja. Very acceptable. Try el café de Oya with a cinnamon touch. Delicious.. I am hungry now.. Enjoy Amigos !
