Relax to the soothing sounds of waves rushing to meet the shore. Feast your eyes on the powerful beauty of the rugged coastline, sparkling ocean blues, and vibrant jungle greens. Allow your mouth yo enjoy local and international favorites while your eyes
The guide who arranged the tour booked this accommodation. The view from the cabin/veranda was lovely but that and the restaurant are this location's strength. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked. The sliding glass door to enter was stuck and required two pairs of hand to shut. It needed to be locked either from the inside or outside to stay shut. The wifi in the cabin was sketchy. There was a coffee maker but no mugs or coffee or condiments. The t.v. didn't work. The bathroom was sorely in need of a coat of paint. The bathroom sink drain pipe had a hole so that when draining the sink, water splashed all into the vanity cabinet. Seems like no one is interested in making repairs.Very disappointing for such an idyllic setting.

Went here one night for 2 tke out dinners and the fish, salad, rice, beans and vegatables could not have been better.Next time we stopped by because out front they have a sign that said Casada Grande for 3000 colonies.I thought gee, this is a great deal.I order 3 and when it was time to pay the bill the price was 4950 colonies.Ok, not a real big deal, however when I said I had enough for 3 based on the sign by the road the manager or owner gets upset abd starts running around showing me the menu, then a table top menu and then looks like she is about to start making phone calls... uh?It was the principal of the whole thing and then they tell me the sign out front is old.Well, maybe they should update it.Needless to say we came to a solution with me paying more than I wanted to but less than what they said was the real price.Unfortunately, they also lost a future customer... never again.I don't like people who attempt to take advantage of others, it is just wrong. Thus an average rating, food good but guest service the pits.

Las Velas Restaurant reflects our passion for local, simple, tasty and freshly prepared meals. We strive to use where possible, organic, seasonal, locally sourced produce. This includes free range chicken, responsibly caught seafood, grass-fed pasture bee
From fresh fruit to fresh fish this lovely restaurant does breakfast, lunch and dinner well. I had snapper the night I arrived and it was so fresh I suspect it was caught that day. The owner, Thomas, greeted me and proved to be a very reliable source of information on wildlife and exciting adventure available in the area. You just don't find this personal attention in most places.

Mexican food in Uvita, come and enjoy our Tacos
Group of 4 came here for dinner. We sat by the bar side where it is more lighted. We ordered chicken, carnita, al pastor, and fish tacos. The chicken was dry and fish was just ok. Al pastor was definitely the winner.

Searching for an amazing culinary experience in the Rain Forest? Rancho Ceilo Alto is not to be missed. This hidden gem offers a Unique and Delicious Farm to Table experience. Nestled into the jungle, overlooking the Pacific Ocean this beautiful open-air Rancho has true Costa Rican charm. Owner and chef JazmÃn GodÃnez, presents a food experience like no other. The 4-course presentation includes integration of ingredients from her on-site garden and local organic farmers. Each dish is prepared with love over and open fire and includes layers of flavors as well as edible and medicinal plants. I was blown away by the level of technique used for each preparation and presentation. Not only is the food amazing, but Jazmin welcomes you like family. From the time that you arrive until the time you leave Jazmin is explaining each presentation including the benefits of the medicinal plants included. Definitely an experience not to be missed. Note; reservations required. In addition to dining, Jazmin also offers cooking classes using local ingredients and techniques. Also included is use and explanation of edible and medicinal plants.Thank you

I had read reviews that the restaurant offered vegan options but I messaged to confirm. Cindy took the time to send me via message every option available to me. She made us feel so welcome upon our arrival. The food was delicious, atmosphere perfect! From the avocado hummus to the homemade chickpea patties, everything was tasty and filling. The prices were very reasonable and Cindy worked her butt off, handling all of the restaurant diners' needs both pleasantly and expeditiously!!!Awww thanks so very very much !!! I'm glad you both felt welcome and comfortable at Los Laureles that is what we are looking for along with fresh food that gets prepared with love for you to enjoy, very thankful for recommending our place looking forward to se you soon, thanks
