Reviews on Latin food in Arequipa, Arequipa Region, Peru. In Peru's second-most populous city, aka "The White City," stunning colonial buildings made of pearly sillar stone vie for attention with the surrounding volcanoes and snow-capped peaks of the western Andes. Founded in 1540, it's a smorgasbord of mansions and museums. The top attraction, 215,000-square-foot Santa Catalina Monastery, is like its own city within a city, complete with fountains and cobblestone streets. Arequipa is the favorite base for visiting Colca Canyon and its massive condors.

Have come here two days in a row now. The smells in the courtyard are mouth watering. Sandwiches are great! Lots of good olive oil in the dressings and sandwiches. Bread is fresh. Coffees are good. French Toast is very sweet but great. Will probably be back tomorrow

Pishku, La Casona del Pisco, located at the heart of the city of Arequipa, just a few blocks away from the main square, in front of the San Francisco's church and the Mario Vargas Llosa's library. La Casona it's a place where you can find places in which
Well presented and extremely delicious food served in elegant surroundings with a chilled ambience. Sit in the lovely patio or one of several atmospheric indoor areas. There is a menu of imaginative cocktails as well as chilcanos made from different types of pisco. Not cheap at S/28 each or S/30 for a pisco sour (no happy hour here!), but the drinks were large and strong! There was also a range of artesanal beers. We shared a starter of octopus (delicious!) and had rocoto relleno with pastel de papa (hot pepper stuffed with meat and topped with cheese with potato gratin) and adobo arequipeña (pork stew in a rich gravy served with bread) for mains. Both were tasty and really spicy! The service was impeccable. Highly recommended!
the best ceviche in Arequipa, you can get it here in El Perla Central, we are located in the heart of the city just two blocks from the main square. our specialty is sea food, made with fresh ingredients and high quality. We have a wide variety of dishes
I went here to have my first ceviche in Peru accompanied by a pisco sour.I must say it was absolutely tasty. The ceviche with the fish of the day had great flavours and you can choose how picante (spicy) you want it. The sauce was a dream. Totally recommend to eat there and have a pisco sour as well, perfect combination. If I'm again in arequipa I'll be back!!! The service was excellent, especially shout out to Oscar!Thank you for your visit dear friend! It is a pleasure for us to know that everything was to your liking especially the ceviche our flag dish and the pisco sour Peruvian drink we loved your visit and we hope you have spent an excellent vacation in Peru thanks for visiting the central pearl !!We will give your regards to Oscarcome back soon dear friend !!!

Good cheap local food. We shared a table with some locals and they were really nice to explain to us what the different dishes were exactly. They donât have many vegetarian options but they helped us find something. We got a huuge serving of really tasty food.

Lovely location , magnificent environment. Interesting menu - ask the waiter to translate . We had a peruvian style stirfry with both rice and chips - carbs are us - it was ok. The creme bruile style pudding and the cold beers were excellent.Service was first rate - I would suggest you go look for your self - by UK standards the prices are very reasonable.

We are the only " taqueria " city with tortillas made ââwith 100% pure corn and homemade . Enjoy them with the best fillings made ââwith the delicious seasoning of Peruvian cuisine .
Found this place via Google maps and it is not disappoint. Great flavor in the barbacoa tacos, nice homemade tortillas, though they crumble a bit under the massive amount of meat.

Restaurant is a lot of effort, passion for food, dinde offer, sensacionesa through food
After eating at a number of restaurants throughout Peru, it is fair to say this is one of the most elegant at a reasonable price range. Set within a typical colonial courtyard, expectations were high upon entry and Damas didnât fail to deliver. The food was great, particularly the steak with mushroom sauce accompanied by a fine bottle of Peruvian Malbec. Specific thanks to our lovely waiter Ademir

El TÃo DarÃo restaurant is located in the very centre of Arequipa's traditional suburb of Yanahuara, at just a few metres from the magnificent square. Here, one can enjoy a tasty lunch in the peaceful surroundings of our gardens where it's always springti
The food is excellent and the place is very attractive in the heart of Yanahuara. We have eaten there several times and tried different dishes. Wonderful ceviche, conchitas a la parmesana, el escribano, rocoto relleno are some of the dishes we tried.

Alma Bar Restaurante offers an assortment of classic Peruvian recipes with contemporary flair. The varied menu highlights the ingredientes used in each of its dishes, which include appetizers, tapas, main dishes, things to share and sides, as weel as chef
I am not sure why others have found service to be spotty....ours was fantastic. We ordered a seasonal special of a tomahawk steak for 2, which came with a lovely salad and a pitcher of Sangria for a very reasonable price. the quality of the meat was excellent; every bit as good as any fine steakhouse in the USA. Overall, thumbs up.Dear costumer,Thank you for sharing your comments regarding your visit to Alma Bar Restaurante. We appreciate very much your review and we are happy to know that you could enjoy of our Tomahawk and that you find it tasteful. It is our compromise to offer you the best quality of food and we will keep up the good work.Kindest regards,Aleksi FerreyraGuest Relations Coordinator
