Things to do in Killeen
Found this off the main beaten path gem and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is a good size and is very clean. Service is pretty quick and friendly. I had kimchi jjigae (stew) and husband had bibimbap. The complementary sides and the main courses were delicious. They also offer a variety of sushi rolls and wraps, which we did not try on this visit. As a side note, once you get your food, do not expect to be checked on again by staff, so if you need or want something you may have to speak up or flag them down. This did not bother us too much as that is how it is in Korea, where we recently lived for 3 years. We will return with our family!
This food truck is generally parked at 1100 Stan Schlueter although some Friday's they are in downtown Killeen and some times they park on Ft. Hood. They are good about updating their location on Twitter. They are one of the leaders in the growing food truck scene in Killeen and the food is wonderful. They offer a lot of standard Korean food like Bibimbap, Bulgolgi and Kimchi, but also offer fun fusion items too including kimchi fries, tacos and a great burger. They are fairly expensive (as food trucks of this nature are wont to be) but the food is amazing and absolutely worth it.
Portions were huge, everything was delicious! The kimchi lige and bul go gi were tasty! A great experience!
Koba Woo is a hidden gem tucked away in Downtown Killeen. In a city know more for it's chain restaurants along Interstate 14, Killeen has an incredible array of diverse, ethnic restaurants scattered around the city. Some of the best Korean food you'll find in Texas is right here, and Koba Woo is as good as it gets. With your dish you get all the Korean sides. Everything is authentic and full of flavor! You'll hear a lot of Korean spoken by other customers. It's a wonderful experience all the way around.
Where to eat Pizza food in Killeen: The Best Restaurants and Bars
My husband and I were in Killeen and felt like some Chinese food. I found this place which is Chinese and Korean - itâs small, and family run - husband cooks and wife covers the restaurant. She is very helpful in describing the Korean meals. Hubby had the jalapeño chicken and asked for it really hot - he thought it was outstanding! I had a Korean dish - 0 on the menu I believe which was also delicious - I just like my food spicy hot but she gave me crushed red pepper and sriracha to use. The atmosphere was nice, and they didnât rush you. All in all a very nice experience!

This place is small but clean and the food is good. I had lunch there and it was very good. I would note that even though their posted hours say 10 am to 9 pm that they close from 3 to 4 in the afternoon so if you are looking to eat around those times don't go there. I ordered the Yaki-Mandu and found it good but it did have lots of dough with it. I am more accustomed to Yaki that is trimmed closer but it did taste good. For my main course I had the Kimchi Jiegea, Kimchi Soup, and found it to be good. It had just enough spice to bite back a bit but not so much that it masked the taste of the soup. So it was good and the rice was fresh and hot. I did like the fact that they cut the sow belly into small cubes instead of leaving it in bigger chunks like some places do. I would have liked to see a bit more selection on the side dishes as they only had Radish Kimchi, and cucumber Kimchi then the usual sweet sides and potatoes. All in all it was a good meal and a good price. Nothing to rave about here but worth the stop if you enjoy Korean food and are in that area.Recommend it.
