Things to do in Burke
We walked in to this place with high expectations. It's ornate decorations and fancy-schmancy menu made us hopeful. Alas, the food, which arrived very quickly, was rather disappointing. Meat (bulgogi) was tough and bland. Bento boxes looked impressive at first, but also lacked flavor. We lived in various places in Asia over the course of 10 years, and continue to travel to the region, so we felt they "dumbed-down" the flavors to suit what they might believe to be an US palate. Service was attentive, but the stereo-sound from the flat-screen TV was way too loud (and we tolerated Korean-accented versions of Disney songs, karaoke-style) and made it difficult to have a conversation. Eager to end the experience, we gathered our things quickly, only to have the owner/manager/maitre'd (???) chastise us for not eating all of the side dishes, saying he would make us food we liked next time. We LIKE Japanese and Korean food -- but not the watered-down version. My husband, mother, daughter and I ate lunch there for about $60. Too expensive for too little flavor.

WOW, I'm stuffed, absolutely right portions and authentic Korean food. Marcus is really nice and will explain everything you need to know; take his recommendations, he is spot on. Parking outside is crazy and the neighbors need to get over themselves. Call for reservations because this place is always packed and crowded to the max. I love sitting at mixed tables and meeting new people. Beef Combo is the bomb. Mandu is fantastic. Lerche is perfect. Great atmosphere and the servers/table clean-up crew are always buzzing around and taking care of everything. Good choice of liquor and beers. Place gets a little smokey, but it adds to the place. I will visit this place over and over, will bring many friends and co-workers!

We arrived just before the rush but then again, tables continued to turn as people walked in. We were given some small appetizers and we ordered the sushi special and sake.Service was good and the sushi was fresh and I'm glad it wasn't pre-sliced as we did have to wait to get our special.I like this place as it just keeps moving along with people in and out. Great place to eat and people watch
