Super friendly owner with 390 yen recommended Okinawa soba! The pork was absolutely tasty, the soup is different with traditional Tokyo ramen, it is more clear and light taste...The shop located in a very hidden street, you need to spend some time to find it, also it is very small and traditional Japanese style dinner, with tatami seat.

3,290m from Shuri Station. There are 34 seats. Take-out. Opening hours and regular holidays are subject to change. Please check with the store before visiting.
Tucked away on a side round out of town is this little gem. Its real "fast-food" Japanese style. The decor is basic, the staff speak a little English BUT are super helpful and very very happy to have you in the shop. Brush-up on your yakitori names before you go though: knowing what you want to order will mean you avoid the lucky dip of getting some weird stuff (guts, parson's nose, cartilage are some of the offerings and not for the un-initiated). They will ask if you want salt or sauce - why not try both? The sauce is a sweet/salty teriyaki. Get a "nama" (draft) beer to wash it all down. 10 sticks and a beer = Y1500.

This place serves up some really awesome dishes. I had the stir-fried tofu set and it was easily one of the best dishes Iâve had in Okinawa. The English menu is smaller and actually not that clear to refer to but you could still get by with some gestures and pointing. The old ladies there are really friendly too.

Ate at Shuri Soba after visiting Shuri castle. The woman in charge was super friendly and spoke a little English. No English menu but there are some pictures and only a few choices so not a problem ordering. We had the soba, a rice bowl and a plate of stewed meat, tofu and veggies. All delicious at a reasonable price.

Saitama Prefecture, Japan Food Guide: 3 Asian food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Wako

Housed in a traditional Okinawa building, you can have a meal facing the garden; the whole atmosphere was good. Food wise was average - had the set with soba (this is more akin to chinese noodles than ramen, with pork soup broth), some appetizers, and jyushi (mixed rice). Expect to wait around 15 to 20 minutes during peak lunch hours.

Very casual Okinawa soba restaurant with one of those automatic machines where you put in money and make your selection. The interior is split in two: one side with Tatami and low tables, and the other with long tables with stools. It was full of locals, so I knew it had to be good. Minutes after sitting down, my order arrived. There are basically 3 choices of meats, 3-mai niku (pork belly), soki (spare rib) and tebichi (feet). I got âmixedâ in large, which is the middle size between small and extra noodles, and a side of jushi, a mixed rice of sorts that is unique to Okinawa. Was a bit disappointed that my âmixâ only had 2 types of meat, excluding the feet but one bite of the chewy noodles and all was forgiven. In addition to the usual ginger, this place had bowls of yomogi so you can freely top your bowls with the fragrant herb. At one point a large group with a grandpa in a wheelchair came so they asked me to move over. I really didnât mind but the nice waiter gave me a free sachel of handmade chinskou (okinawa cookies) as a gift. Like I said, very casual, very friendly, and very delicious!
