I'm not sure how Sushi Box compares to the other Japanese venues in Waltham, but we found it to be about average compared to other sushi restaurants we've been to. Everything was fresh, prices very reasonable, service was good, but none of the sushi or maki wowed us in any way. I would consider returning to try some of the non sushi items as there is Korean and Thai choices as well. The hostess and waitress was super friendly and checked in on us frequently to see if we were happy or needed anything else. Note: There is no alcohol served, soft drinks and tea only.

This restaurant is really nice. Service is really nice. Food is good, nothing very special but reasonable and the price is correct. Definitely I will come back.

We had a very good, early dinner at Aji Sushi Bar. Service was excellent; portions were large; everything was well prepared. Miso soup was good; salad nice. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was excellent; unaju was very good; the maki combo was outstanding. We'll definitely go back!

We tried this place on a Friday evening. Atmosphere is very nice. Restaurant was fairly busy and full, but still very pleasant. We had the shrimp and vegetable tempura to start, which was really good! Two large shrimp/prawns and four large pieces of vegetables. We then had one of their special sushi rolls and several varieties of nigiri. The sushi was beautifully presented. However, the sauce on the roll had a strange sweet taste, and the rice was noticeably sweetened too. Same with the nigiri, not the usual flavor of rice, too sweet which did not complement the fish at all. And my teeth were coated later, so I think they must have put a lot of sugar in the sushi rice. So while the fish itself was good and the nigiri pieces were generous, we really can't recommend the sushi at all. Too bad because restaurant and service rate a 4-5 but the (expensive) sushi meal was disappointing.

Asian Restaurant
Went with family who live in the area. My first visit. They usually order sushi but tonight we sampled a variety of Korean dishes. The scallion pancake is huge for an appetizer. Miso soup very good. Bibimbop was perhaps to sizzling; the rice got burnt. Dishes I couldn't name were tasty. Chef and several of the waitstaff took time to explain the dishes and were clearly quite happy at the clean plates. Like anything else on Moody Street parking is a problem.

My partner and I go here often. Every time it has been most positive. Our server even remembered what we usually order....the sashimi lunch special with extra wasabi. Check it out...you wonât be disappointed.
