Things to do in Thornhill
Never dissapoints! We absolutely love this sushi place. The food is simply amazing. You just can't eat enough of their sushi. We drive from Woodbridge to thorn hill to enjoy this sushi it's that great. Service can lack at times but the food always outweighs. Everyone should at least try this place and I can assure you, you will never go to another sushi place.

If it has been a while since you have last been to Hockey Sushi, it is time to visit again. There are many new items on the menu and ordering is now done by iPad, which helps the staff (and you) keep track of what you ordered. The staff is friendlier and helpful and the food is fresh and tasty

There are limited restaurants of this type in Thornhill, so pickings are slim. Vegetarian options exist and portions are reasonable in size and price. The server had trouble with understanding the question about whether the soup was vegetarian and not fish based. Regardless of the type of restaurant, the location dictates the required language proficiency of servers. Questions about ingredients are extremely important due to allergies, sensitivities, and vegetarian needs.

I have been going here for a few years now and I have no overblown ideas about what to expect in an $11 luncheon. I usually order a beef teriyaki bento box, which is amazing value when it comes with Miso soup, sushi, and an ice cream dessert. I certainly do not expect the beef to be melt in the mouth tenderloin, and have often found that it might take a minimal amount of chewing, but nothing I can't handle at that price - portions are generous to say the least.I recently took my wife there for lunch, as we had business in the area, and the beef was really tough and full of sinew and gristle, so I went to the counter and informed the staff that it was inedible. Within minutes, the owner was at my table to assure me that we were to receive replacement meat. The freshly cooked beef arrived a little while later, and was fine. Soon, the owner's son came to the table to enquire if everything was OK, which, I assured him, it was. After all, who hasn't had a tough cut from time to time, especially when ordering at restaurnat volumes? Now this is what good service is all about - no arguments, no excuses - the customer came first. I will continue my monthly visits, and even more frequently if I am in the vicinity. I would give five stars if it was a fine dining establishment, but 4 is as high as I go for mid-range, and that is the top of MY scale. So eat there and enjoy.

The maki rolls and sushi tasted great.the menu has good variety too. The service was slow then, and the restaurant looks messy and very outdated. Overall it's a good choice for its price and quality.

Zen Japanese Restaurant is aiming for the preservation of the traditional culture of Japanese cuisine, which gives the best impression of the cuisine to the patron while being loved by them.
Weâve been going to this restaurant for 4 months now and it never disappointed. The sushi is amazing - one of the best Iâve had in Toronto so far. The tempura is very good too- not too oily like in other places... very enjoyable actually...The staff is just great... always careful to the customers needs and with a smile on their face... It is more expensive than other japanese restaurants but well worth it.

An update on previous review; still very good value and quality. The food is consistently delicious and the place is clean and spacious for a small restaurant. The service is still good and the atmosphere is nice. Their lunch specials are a great value because you get a ton of food for a reasonable price. We come every couple of months for lunch.

At Tomo Sushi has been to create a friendly atmosphere where people can come together and enjoy variety of high quality Japanese cuisine.
5 of us were there for dinner as they got a high rating from TripAdvisor. We had 6 appetizers in which their Beef Enoki Mushroom stood out. We enjoyed every mouthful of the â92 piece party trayâwith, 42pcs sashimi, 24pcs sushi, 26pcs roll hi & rolls. We were in a room with rice paper panels, comfortable and with privacy. Our server was very attentive and efficient. It was a nice experience, will definitely be back.

Thank goodness for these reviews. We would never have even noticed this small restaurant in a little strip plaza but now that we found it we'll certainly go back. The atmosphere and décor are very nice and the sushi was delicious. Reasonably priced for the quality.
