The food was FABULOUS....!!! Unfortunately, despite the well-groomed and obvious experience in the wait staff, they were somewhat ambivalent toward us - each paying $240 for food alone one would expect a little warmth toward the guest....none...!!!As we sat, we were asked if we were celebrating something special to which we replied yes, we were - at no point did the ask what we were celebrating or if we enjoyed the course as it was cleared....just going through the motions of clearing and delivering the next course...!!! Scripted descriptions of the delivered food with zero interaction....!!Sadly, we had been looking forward to this dining experience for ages and we were extremely disappointed....!!!

We went to Sake to celebrate our wedding anniversary and could not have been more delighted by the experience. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and I think the sashimi probably the best I have ever tasted. Our waiting staff were both knowledgeable and helpful, giving us good recommendations which definitely enhanced the overall dining experience.Only small criticism I have is that I would not choose the Chef's Counter seating next time as I was seated next to someone who not only took up more than his allocated space - encroaching into mine but was also rather loud and intrusive. However he departed shortly after our first course so certainly did not spoil the evening. In every other respect our visit to Sake was faultless and we had a lovely and memorable evening

A top end Japanese restaurant with a very long and very cool marble bar that wraps around the sashimi and sushi chefs who create the magic !It’s been a long while since I was last here and it’s nice to see that no complacency has set in.This is not a big Restaurant , however it’s attached to Hemmesphere ( fabulous bar /lounge ) where one can sip on a cocktail and also order from the Restaurant Any-who , back to the fabulous Sushi e. The food is outstanding . The bonito sashimi was sublime (the dressing to die for) ; the agedashi tofu was soooo yummy ; all of the various raw dishes and sushi were fresh / crisp / delicious.Favourite of the night were these irresistible lettuce tempura Balmain bug cups . Ohh and then of course there was the delicious and simply cooked ( to perfection ) beef .What stood out the most was the freshness of produce and the fabulous flavours . Beautiful balance .Service is top notch. The sushi chefs and floor staff make you feel very special . Good knowledge of wine . Very professional. Very efficient .Overall a fabulous choice if you are serious about Japanese Food .
