This group, which run the another restaurant called Mori at the currently under renovation Subang Avenue, took over from the previous management while maintaining the same name. It's a pork free Japanese restaurant that serve decent cuisine from yakiniku to ramen. It's also from the same group as Kinpachi at SS17. This restaurant kitchen is run by a Japanese chef supported by locals and foreigners.

Located just above the Harbour Steamboat Restaurant (both same owner), this restaurant serves interesting Japanese food from the usual ramen, udon, the popular rice sets, fresh sashimi, skewered yakitori & also a number of ala carte dishes. Service could be quite slow during peak hours even when half full but the food is of better quality & taste of compared with many other Japanese outlets in the vicinity. You can also have beers or sake to go along with your meal. Large empty sake bottles are abundantly used in the decor of the place, which gives it a nice ambience. On the whole, there are not many items on their menu but prices are reasonable & food standard is commendable. Good for friends or family.

I am a big fan of ramen, especially miso ramen. This place does it very well. Having been to Hokkaido before, I can vouch for the authenticity of this restaurant's ramen. Their broth is thick and flavoursome. The waitress will warn you about the strong flavour and offer to add soup to neutralise it. If you like the broth strong like I do, just decline. Very few ramen restaurants in Malaysia serve this kind of strong flavoured broth. This is my second visit and I had the burnt garlic ramen. It was awesome. Super garlicky. So avoid if you need to converse in close quarters after the meal. The price is rather high for its serving size but the flavour makes up for it. This restaurant is also non-halal. Green tea is refillable.

Stopped by this restaurant for late lunch and it was good. We tried the Yakiniku Beef set and Tempura set. Both were delicious. Service was good too.

This Japanese restaurant is along the row of shops opposite Subang Jaya Medical Centre but not directly opposite. It is usually full at dinner time but not so much at lunchtime. It serves good variety of Japanese food, but the fresh dishes are best. The chef also has specials, so ask the server. We had a fish head dish and a chef special sushi roll which was quite nice. Prices reasonable and the service was friendly. Overall a nice meal. Would return.

The service was lacking. The waitress couldnât explain the difference between the first two sashimi dishes in the menu. We had to call in someone else, whose explanation turned out to be only slightly better. He did advise on the quantity of food though, which was helpful. The main course arrived ahead of the starters. The first item to arrive were the mushrooms, which went cold by the time the next dish arrived. The sashimi and edamame should be the first to arrive but arrived last. With the many good Japanese restaurants in town, I would hesitate coming again.Dear azlanshahThank you for taking your time to write an honest review of our restaurant. This small Japanese Yakitori restaurant served authentic Yakitori. The Japanese boss Oda san handle all the BBQ by himself, the BBQ meats served was so soft & juicy. Highly recommended if you love BBQ, but they only accept cash. Please call for reservation because the restaurant is quite small. Cheer ^_^.

Kinpachi has been around offering a decent fare to Subang Jaya residents. Their food is pretty good with a sizeable portion. Compared to other authentic eateries of the same nature, one should not place too high of an expectation as the outlet caters for families and food lovers...

Good service and excellent food. The set lunch is great value for money. Salmon belly sashimi was cut thick and very fresh. The service was great despite the full lunch crowd. Highly recommend this restaurant.
