Gourmet pan-Asian cuisine with a friendly neighborhood ambiance. Great drinks, plus weekly events like open mic night, karaoke, trivia, and live music. Family owned and operated in the Springfield bar formerly known as Nifty 50's, now renovated and conver
Two for dinner around 8PM on a Friday. We had heard about the food and were visiting for the first time. A little confused that Speakeasy Ramen is actually the former Nifty 50âs Bar, located on South Ludlow Street...plenty of on-street parking. We seated ourselves at a table for two and were immediately greeted with the cocktail and beer menu which contained a great selection of local craft beers and signature drinks. Ordered beers and decided on 4 of the 5 menu items available on the rotating menu. Our food was served with very little wait and we were both absolutely satisfied with the quantity and intense and unique flavor of our shared dishes. The Marine Salad is a âmust tryâ dish, especially if you like raw salmon and tuna! Wonderful! The menu and pictures of our dishes are attached. Were look forward to our return visit!

Great facility, huge well stocked buffet with plenty of parking. Nothing was really bad except for the stuffed mushrooms, which I usually love. I tried one and they had just been out there way too long. Nothing I ate was really good. Probably won't come back, although the price is quite reasonable.

A family member took us to Yamato's for lunch. It was the first time we had been to Yamato. It was a wonderful experience from the time we entered until we left. Excellent service!! Excellent food. Although it was our first visit, it will NOT be our last. Everything appeared to be very clean. Can't wait to go back. If there is a negative, it would be that it's not a large facility - I think it seats 49 people.

I sat on the restaurant side and did order Steak and Scallops Hibachi. The soup was scorching hot and extremely bland. The salad had so much dressing dumped in it that it was inedible. On to the main dish. The steak was cooked beyond well done when I asked for it to be mid rare and had zero seasoning. The scallops had good flavor but were gritty because they were not properly prepared. Rice, noodles and veggies were good.Again, I sat on the restaurant side not the hibachi side. The temperature in the restaurant was blazing hot. It was so uncomfortable that it would have killed the experience if the food was decent... which it wasn't.My server was okay but not anything to note as great. I would never dine here again.

Went for dinner with a few couples. Ordered the Miso soup, tasted like it was from a packet and was cold. The Unagi bore no resemblance to the Japanese kind and was tough and flavorless. Most unlike the Japanese Unagi. Huge dissapointment. The Sushi was also lacking inflavor and creativityDont expect Japanese food.
