The menu is "Miso Ramen", "Champong", "Yakisoba", "Yakimeshi" only (there are large and small rice in the sub menu).The shop is very old, but it is not filthy. It is cheap but you can be full of stomach.

A homely izakaya setting with a choice of eating from bar stools or tatami mats. This place gets very busy (and full - it's small) for good reason - the food is delicious. Seaweed egg rolls and beer got us in the mood, followed by tuna sashimi that melted on the mouth, excellent beef cuts and the tempura seaweed is heavenly good, you can't not try it! Noodle and rice sides were also way beyond the typical izakaya standard. Reasonably priced and very kind hosts. The menu is not in English so we ate what was recommended - we were not disappointed!

We wanted to try local food, particularly keihan, and this is a nice place. They have other regional foods and drinks, and I recommend the sheishou with green tea or plum (hot or cold).It is a budget, traditional restaurant and one sits on tatami. Pictures of sumos cover the walls, as well as fish prints. Many usual costumers were there, including families. All seemed to have a nice time. Friendly service, good atmosphere and good food. A very good thing is that they have a well translated menu into English. This was the work of Ako, the owners daughter. She was around and answered all our queries about the city and its offers.
