This place has great service, which earned them the 5 dots. If I were only rating the sushi roll itself, it probably would only receive 4. I found the taste fresh but I would rather the inside of the toll be made from whole pieces of salmon rather that diced chunks. I will try a different roll next time I come. I will probably be back.
This place is next door to the place where my wife and daughter get their nails done. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the atmosphere is comfortable, the food is excellent, the portions are good, the servers are attentive and pleasant, and the prices are reasonable. Will definitely go back.

Stopped by here after soccer practice, and was pleasantly surprised. Fresh cooked hibachi style (think noodles, terrain sauce, and the meat of your choice). My son tried some of the sushi and loved it.Also tried the rice bombs, great little appetizer and would be good for kiddos that don't want to eat sushi but want to join the big kidsWe'll definitely be stopping by again.

Since moving back to St. Louis, it has been really hard finding a Japanese Steakhouse that offers tasty Teppanyaki and sushi at a good price. Yes, I have tried Shogun and the other (that currently slips my mind) but to me, they cannot compare! I just happen to see their billboard off highway 70 on my way to Mid-Rivers Mall. This was my first visit and I have already started planning my second visit with family this weekend (just because I want to try everything else :)). The lunch prices are very reasonable, especially compared to the quality and taste. Our server and cook were great and very entertaining. I also had the sushi, which was fresh and flavorful. At the end of the meal, I was so full, but the food was so good, I ordered a roll to go.If you do the Teppanyaki, be sure to have the Yum Yum sauce, which is a rare commodity in St. Louis. It is an organish sweet mayonnaise based sauce that would put a smile on your face.

Went in for lunch midweek. We were the only customers in there for a few minutes. Apparently, only one staff member in the place. She was seating, getting menus and drinks, making the food, etc. Very friendly, but I don't know how one person could handle a labor intensive food prep like sushi when there is more than one table in there. As a result, the meal took longer than we expected. The crab rangoon (4) were very good. The miso soup was average - I've had others that were much better with a lot more flavor - this was kind of watery. The rolls we got were fine. Our rainbow roll was pretty light on the California roll filling. The tuna and salmon on the top were good. The lucky crunch (salmon and cream cheese) tempura battered roll had an interesting batter. It was crunchy, not the typical breaded batter you expect. The salmon was fully cooked, which wasn't what I was expecting, and there could have been more salmon in there. We also got the softshell tempura roll, which was pretty good, but seemed overly filled with a veggie type mixture. We used a Groupon, so it was half price. Still, we would probably head to some of our other favorites in the area instead of this if we were paying regular price.
