2-3 weeks ago, I decided to try this restaurant but the shop is more closed than open. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday nightâ the shop is closed... so weird. And I saw, the contribution of a other customer and I saw the answer of the owner : totally inappropriate and rude. Maybe youâre sushi are good, but for sure, you donât understood what a good customers service is.Dear Mister Doe,Many thanks for the time you take with this commentary. My apologize about this situation. To be honest we have started this adventure with a food truck , and now we need to close the restaurant some evening in the week to propose our service in different village, with the truck, I hope you will understand. We have finally decided to close the truck on Friday in order to be in the restaurant since three weeks. For Saturday, I am sorry, but we have a lot of catering service (wedding, birthday...), and the person where we rent the restaurant room doesn't want a week end opening... that why we close on week end. Finally, on Monday, Japanese restaurant don't open because there are now fresh fish arriving on Monday. I hope that you will give us another chance to see you in our restaurant. Sushi Doki team

Called in on a Sunday afternoon and had the buffet. Good food at a reasonable price. Well attended by the locals as well as campers.

We stumbled across this place a few weeks ago when it was closed, saw that other reviews are good and decided to come for lunch. Today, we finally made it!Sake lived up to its promise. Thanks to the lovely weather we were able to sit outside and though it is alongside a road, the river Arve is just 10 metres away, providing a good background. The service is efficient and friendly enough. The food is what you come for, and it is (given the price range) delightful: we had the daily lunch menu which consists of two fixed starter courses and one of three mains. The crab & vermicelli salad was delicious and extremely well balanced: a delight. The second starter, in our case a rutabaga (swede to Brits) veloute, was also delicious, with a hint of curry and some delicate side flavours. Really nice. The mains we had were both very good too: a chicken tepanyaki and battered St Jaques Mussels (scallops); both came in sauces that were well balanced and with a filling amount of sides (rice and veggies; some kind of potato mash). We also witnessed some of the other main course - a sushi selection - being served. The portions looked generous and the patrons satisfied. All of this came at a very reasonable CHF 18 each.Definitely worth a lunch trip. The dinner menu looks even more tempting, having a selection of starters. I feel we may have to return soon.

My husband and I spent a wonderful lunch at this terrace restaurant. The day was warm and sunny and we spent a very relaxed few hours enjoying good food.Great views of the city. The staff are wonderful and friendly. One of them overheard me wondering if I was going to get sun burnt as I had forgot to put cream on, she arrived at our table with a bottle of sun cream! What a surprise!!Amazing service, highly recommended!
