Reviews on Japanese food in Poipu, Hawaii, United States. Kauai’s South Shore is home to some of the country’s best beaches—for swimming, diving and all sorts of water sports. If sunbathing on a gorgeous beach isn’t relaxing enough, try a spa (where many treatments incorporate local ingredients). And if you’re in Poipu for a romantic escape, splurge on an oceanview room—the sunsets are spectacular.

Stevenson's is the South Shore's luxury nightspot. Featuring sushi & spirits, the expansive bar offers island drinks, creative martinis, beer, wine, sake, aged scotch, cognac and port selections, all with a fabulous view. Take a seat at the 27-foot, hand
Our reservation was 8:30PM on Friday night. Service was slow. Not sure if this was a one-time occurrence or a recurring problem.Enjoyed the Kanpachi (yellowtail) carpaccio appetizer, but it was a small serving. All times that I ordered yellowtail appetizers in Hawaii, it was a much smaller portion than when I ordered tuna. I wonder if it's because this fish is less plentiful or more expensive in Hawaii than ahi tuna.I enjoyed the baby greens salad. Stevenson's Library restaurant is on the grounds of the Grand Hyatt resort in Poipu, and all restaurants I visited at the Grand Hyatt offered salads using delicious fresh crisp greens grown in a greenhouse on the resort grounds. If you enjoy salads, I recommend ordering one in any restaurant in the resort. If you're staying in the resort, visit the greenhouse during the day; I think it was near the tennis courts.

Poipu Rock n' Roll Sushi is more than your average sushi bar. Under the same roof as Bangkok Happy Bowl Thai Bistro and Bar, we're a gathering spot and a local favorite for fresh sushi, specialty drinks, and good times. Our 10 creative house rolls are mad
We were looking to have a light dinner, so we figured weâd get sushi. I ended up getting their poke bowl. Turned out this was way more than expected. It was really good, and I only ate half of it. I have leftovers for lunch now!Very friendly staff, and they have live music in the evening. Hi there,Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a great review! We strive to provide generous portions of our high-quality ingredients, so it's great to see that reflected in your comments. We sincerely appreciate the kind words and look forward to seeing you again soon. We hope you enjoyed the leftovers as well!See you again soon--Aloha!

I was so excited when I saw this food truck; we literally âsavedâ our meal here for one of our last days on island. We were so disappointed. We ordered the shumai stick (slathered in a heavy sauce that ruined it), breakfast sandwich (dry and flavorless), poke nachos (again, heavy disgusting sauce, still partially frozen and pale tuna, inedible) and shrimp bao (the best of the worst- basically fried shrimp on a flat bao- like a taco). Maybe Hawaiian-style dim sum is supposed to be this heavy and clunky? Regardless, we did not like it and threw almost everything away. I was frustrated we wasted a meal here.
Naruto Noodles is Noodle Food Truck. Our noodles dishes were inspired from local, national and international flavors. We serve various types of noodles and paired them with our very own homemade recipe sauces and broths. We have Vegan, Vegetarian and Glut
There are a bunch of food trucks nowadays. I donât remember this the last time we were in Kauai. In this area, there are a few food trucks and seating. We were really looking forward to ramen, and Naruto Noodles did not disappoint. They have a pretty good selection of food, including ramen, noodles and rice dishes. They even have boba tea!My son is allergic to egg, so he canât have the ramen. But they told me that have rice noodles that they would make in a separate pot to avoid any cross contamination. Overall, they were very friendly and helpful. We are definitely going back here.
