This was our first time. We were pleasantly surprised by the light interior. While the music wasn't our taste, it was not intrusive. The sake and wine were good quality. The food was very good. We loved their special chef's roll, American something! The service was friendly and very efficient. We will be back!

Stopped in for dinner Friday night and glad we did. Charming restaurant and decor with friendly staff/service.We ordered the scallion pancakes (yum) and an Alaskan sushi roll to try and both were excellent.Dinner I had the Singapore Noodles, I did not love it but I had opted to try something new. It was a bit dry and a bit salty for my taste. My husband had Panang curry that he requested mild, and it did not disappoint. I just made the wrong choice for my palette, but will come back for sushi and definitely other items on the menu which sounded delish! Especially the walnut chicken and chicken w/ mango. And lastly, the presentation of the food is simply beautiful. We'll be back.

We decided to try Mizu Sushi while visiting our soin who lives in Hyde Park. This is his favorite Japanese restaurant in the area. They have an extensive menu including some Thai items (I usually don't like Japanese restaurants who also carry cuisines of other nationalities, but this is an exception). My son and I split the Love Boat for two. It is a combination Sushi and Sashimi platter for two. The fish was very fresh and flavorful, and the combinations interesting. They also have an extensive sake menu! Dinner was very good for the price, and I would highly recommend Mizu when you need a sushi fix!
This little place is tucked in a strip mall on Rte. 55 in Poughkeepsie and is an unexpected hidden jewel. New to the area - they are clean, reasonable and offer the freshest and most beautifully presented sushi around. The ambiance is unremarkable - the usual expected oriental decor - rather spartan but definitely clean. We've been several times already and have not been disappointed. There are many different offerings of sushi, sashimi and tempura with a great selection of appetizers. The King Kong roll was heavenly - others in our group have been thrilled with Spicey Girls, Godzilla and the sashimi. Nothing has disappointed including the salads with the ginger dressing. FYI - There's currently a $25. gift certificate for $10. you can get on Restaurant.com. A delicious experience!

This is a great small place to get some sushi as well as other menu options. They also have lunch box specials. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. If you have a large party you may want to make reservations. They also have great hot meals like shrimp teriyaki.
