This restaurant serves top quality delicious food in Niigata area.Only 5 -10 mintues walk from JR Niigata station to there, easy and convenient.Restaurant are decorated in modern Japanese style, and have been separated into different partitions. You can enjoy sushi and sashimi master working in front of you; or grill and stick grill bar front; or sitting in a private room with friends.Besides the wonderful everyday "sea-catch", serving wonder sashimi and sushi, restaurant are serving excellent quality of grilled fish, no matter charcoal grilled, which makes Kimetai crispy outside, and juicy inside. Or grilled with sauce, which had a wonderful tasty balance and presentations.Overall, this is a 'never-fail' restaurant unless you did reserve table in advanced, it may have chance to turn you down when you do the walk-in.

From the atypically high ceilings and elegant, oversized wooden tables, we were anticipating a marvelous meal. Despite the openness of the restaurant, there was an aura of intimacy.The food was excellent. We sampled the roast beef and seafood donburi. An added bonus are sakes which are not available upstairs in the Sake Museum Ponshu-kan.The entrance is a little hard to find if you are coming from upstairs but persevere as there is a sliding door. The entrance is much more obvious from the ground floor.

After reading several reviews, I decided to try this restaurant. Walking in the door, I got a nice, friendly greeting and chose a seat at the counter. The restaurant was about half- full at 18:30 on a Friday night. I had a crab salad and a Ton Katsu set. The Kani Salad was strips of crab on a very finely- grated lettuce- cabbage salad with a nice dressing. It was delicious, and the Kani serving was generous.The Ton Katsu was tender and perfectly cooked. The sauce was a little thinner, but more tasty, than most Ton Katsu sauces I have had. There are a lot of good Ton Katsu restaurants in Japan, and I would rank this one in the upper fourth. The service was exceptionally good, down to the very friendly and efficient waiter. He really lived up to the âdo your bestâ ideal. Itâs great to be a customer in such a place.The restaurant is not in a place where you would expect to find one. Walking there from the station area took about 20 minutes, not too bad â it is located on the busy street directly adjacent to the large, Iconic N1 shopping building. With that landmark itâs easy to find. Thereâs a modest residential neighborhood nearby, and nothing else apart from the N1.

Conveniently located in Niigata station nearby Shinkansen entry. I could have local Niigata food, hegy soba and tare Katsu, despite busy schedule.

Although sushi which is rotating is also good, sometimes you order a kind of sushi that are not rotating. The freshness of the neta (fish) is outstanding, going on the ordinary sushi shop.
