We arrived shortly after 6 and it was packed. We sat at the sushi bar and really enjoyed ourselves.Delicious food and super friendly staff. It was busy but it allowed us to take our time and enjoy the food.

Relatively lack-luster server who was English-language-challenged was not especially helpful with menu questions. Food arrived: generous bowl of ramen with satisfying flavor. Gyoza was light and delicate, so uniform that they were clearly machine made off-site. Chicken katsu curry boasted an authentic Japan flavor. The trip past the kitchen curtain to the grimy restroom sent chills of sanitation concerns. See photos.

Rumor has it that this spot is the latest outpost of Roy's restaurants. It has only been open a few months, but is well worth a visit. The seafood dishes were especially good. The fried mushroom starter was excellent. Our vegan companion also got a tasty option.

Disclaimer--we're from Kansas City, which is hardly the sushi capital of the world. We're not connoisseurs, but we thought this place was great. Walked right in and ordered; had it ready to go in ten minutes. Tasty, and one of the more affordable meals we ate in Hawaii. And while we're not experts, we thought it was really delicious. Recommend.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the front pit seating for 6. They take reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. The food was fresh and delicious with many fantastic options. Sashimi and rolls were great as were the combo meals. Great cocktail and sake options. Lovely service, will definitely return!

What a surprise in Kailua. My son would eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner here everyday if he lived in Kailua. Everybody loved their food. It is nice to dine a place that gives you a lot of food for a reasonable price. The only con is they have a small lot right off the street.
