Came here looking good shabu shabu beef and pork but left underwhelmed. The quality of the beef and pork is excellent but everything is far more expensive than it should be. The soup was also water based instead of dashi stock. One person was almost $40USD.I ate at another restaurant just around the corner and had far better shabu shabu pork at almost a third of the price.

Loved satsuma age. The soup with it was great. Sashimi was great. Beer was perfectly served. Great atmosphere for team dinner.

Ate the tontoro ramen and gyoza, asked for their yuzu sauce. The pork was practically melting in our mouths. A little salty as in ramen elsewhere in Japan. We felt welcome here although hardly any English was spoken. There was a queue forming when we left at nearly 8:00 p.m.There's a parking lot nearby: space for only a few cars, but fast turnover. ¥200 for the 1 hour we spent eating and hanging around.

I arrived at the restaurant at 11:15 and stood in a line. That opened at 11:30. I ate (A)ä¸é»è±ãã¼ã¹ã«ã250 g set and (B)é»è±è»éª¨ç ®. I was satisfied with them very much.(A)The finest black pig pork loin cutlet set. It takes around 20 minutes. Pork Loin 250 g, cabbage, lemon, pickles, miso soup, rice, mini-salad. The pork was perfect! Taste, texture, fragrance, quantity, color, the doneness. It was great!(B)simmered pork and its cartilage. It was sweet and soft and good. Just little bit being seasoned heavily. But no problem. The staffs are kind. They will be kind when you come in 5 or 6 persons and will take good care for you to take seat as a group.I do not know the details of this restaurant, it seemed to have revived. Let's ask them about its history, the next time.

it's like a permanent yatai structure, plenty of choices... its hard to decide on one, but we did anyway for the japanese socialising experience. we drove, and theres a convenient parking location by Times. It is also walking distance from the train station. its a little pricey, but i guess its somewhat similar to pub atmosphere. Food is not SUPERBLY great, it doesnt matter since people are here for the drinks and socialising! so if you're a foodie, maybe eat something decent before you come for your drinks!

This is a very popular black pork franchise in Kagoshima. Though it looks expensive from the look, lunch menus are affordable. Local people also recommended. I feel like to visit again for the next trip.- Lunch menus are Shabu Shabu, Tonkatsu, etc. for 900~1500 yen. My recommendation is é»è±ã®éèè¸ãã»ãã(Steamed black pork and vegetables) for 980 yen.- Tonkatsu was a bit like rare or medium rare.- Waited almost no time to enter. Employees were very kind, too.

This restaurant serves unique shabu-shabu which is considered special japanese dish along with sukiyaki or tempura or sushi. The unique thing is that sliced thin pork is cooked by dipping and waiving in the special soup instead of just boiling water in the hot-pot. Once it is cooked we dip it with chapsticks in the same soup used in the hot-pod with raw fresh egg instead of sesami souce or say souce generally used in other shabu-shabu restaurant. If anyone has no problem with pork and raw eggs , this is the place to try.

After the four of us (two US couples, 60-ish) returned from a cruise-based land tour, we strolled thru the âDolphin Portâ and found a terrific conveyor belt style sushi restaurant. Itâs casual, friendly, quick and had English menus. The sushi, shrimp tempura and Udan noodle soup was perfect. Very affordable at about $12 US per person. Donât miss this place - youâll love it.
