Osetra - The Restaurant is a 220-seater upmarket designer restaurant, situated in the heart of Kalk Bay. The restaurant, named after the Caviar, is almost completely sea facing with the outside dining terrace perfectly positioned for people-watching. Open
This was our second visit and we were as impressed as on our first visit. We were given a delicious complimentary bowl of spicy seafood bisque on arrival (very welcome on an icy Cape Town day). We then shared a plate of perfectly cooked prawns, served with the most delicious soya sauce-based sauce and fabulous egg-fried rice. The staff were attentive and efficient (and I loved the teapot they brought my tea in).

This is the 3 time in a row that I did takeaway. The food is great when eventually it comes. I get untruthful answers when it comes to "when will it be ready ". They don't seem to care. It's take it or leave it. Such a pity.

The MAnager from the first day was so friendly & funny. He went out of his way to make sure I tried most of the sushi. I was impressed with the QUALITY! For only R109 and eat as much as I want, and still get blown away! my partner also fell inlove with the spot!!! Duck wrap blew my mind away and the roses are on point!!!!

We bought takeaways - but will defintely try a sit down on our next visit to Hout Bay. The Sushi was good. The beef with rice noodle was delicious and generous portion so 2 people could have this.
