Went here as a group of family for dinner. I used to live in Japan and can be a bit of a food snob with Japanese food but was very happily surprised to have such a delicious Japanese meal on the east coast! We ordered a ton of dishes and shared everything. We loved the fluke starter with yuzu sauce, kinutemaki, nasu dengaku, tempura, gyoza, and maki. The agedashi tofu was good, but a little more firm tofu than I prefer. I preferred ogaâs cold appetizers and maki rolls to the nigiri but everything was good. Definitely a place where sharing style eating works well!

Have gone twice in two weeks for dinner... have ordered ramen and sushi dinner. Sushi was basic maki rolls that were ok, somewhat thin. Good quality ingredients but ordinary results. Waiter brought us a grilled squid appetizer without requested teriyaki and then made a mess of the redo. Not auspicious.

Been here many years ago and decided to go back there yesterday. Had the Australian lamb which was expensive but of excellent quality. There is no need to order appetizers as the portions are generous. Nice atmosphere and the cooks provide great entertainment.
