My husband has raved about this place from work outings and we finally got the chance to go together. The sushi here is sublime... we ordered the dynamite rolls, the golden salmon rolls, the beef rolls and the Southern rolls. All were excellent but the dynamite rolls (served on fire) were the best, followed closely by the Southern rolls. Those had a nice crunch due to a light tempura breading and great flavor. We also enjoyed the chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer and they offered some great cocktail options ($3 each) on this Saturday afternoon. My only slight complaint would be our server was not overly friendly and it took quite awhile to get the food even though the place was not busy. But we will definitely return here.

When two of my friends suggested we meet at Ronin for Happy Hour, I had no idea what to expect. I think I just found one of my favorite sushi places! The staff was amazing and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We had a wine and some great food, My friends love the ribs and I had a California roll, spicy tuna tacos and edemami! I think I am going to become a regular here! Love this place!

Some friends took me up to Sakana on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was nearly full and we had to sit at the tall table closest to the door (I don't understand these tall "bar tables" for eating). After being seated, the waiter took close to 15 minutes to come and take our drink orders. Upon return, he took our orders. We had ordered several different rolls and I wanted to add an order of tempura vegetables. He asked if I wanted the dinner or the appetizer. He said the appetizer tempura was "rather small" so I ordered the ful dinner. We also asked for a bowl of edamame. We sat for nearly 40 minutes without any of the food coming out. After speaking to another waiter, the edamame and tempura was brought to the table. I told the waiter I had ordered the tempura dinner, not the appetizer, and he assured me that what I got was the "dinner." It had two onions, two broccoli florets, two zuccini rounds and a couple of carrots. If this is their full dinner plate, I would hate to see the item as an appetizer (they were also cold). The waiter forgot to bring the soup (all 3 ounces of it, in a square bowl with a regular metal spoon). I was drinking hot tea and one of my friends asked for one. My teapot was taken and refilled and we were informed that there were no tea cups lefts. Instead he was given a manhattan glass to drink it from. The food was passable, nothing special, but the service (and failure to apologize after acknowledging it) would keep me from returning.
