When I want sushi, I go here. The nigiri is always fresh, which my husband loves, and they have plenty of delicious cooked rolls for me. My favorites are the South Beach roll (wrapped in cucumber) and the Ricky roll (the sauce... yum!).
By far, this is my favorite Sushi restaurant in the Lafayette area. Friendly staff, the sushi is always excellent, they will customize it for you, and the price is very reasonable as compared to some of the other "trendy" sushi places in Lafayette. I usually come here once or twice every week.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant! They have very unique rolls. I recommend the Infamous Roll and the Sashimi Roll. Those are my favorites, although everything I have tried has been delicious. We often go at night, and there is never a wait. They do not have a huge staff, but we have never had any issues with the service. If you sit at the sushi bar, you can visit with the owner and get his recommendations on what to try too. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We have been 10+ times and have never had a bad experience.
I was quite surprised by this restaurant. The portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. I ordered the shrimp platter and hubby had to have the chicken wings. The shrimp were huge and each chicken wing included the whole wing! Fries and salad are included. The price was less than $20. The restaurant is very open and has large tables with comfortable high back chairs. A great set up for business luncheons or a family dinner. If you plan on taking a date out, it does lack the ambiance for couples, so I would suggest take out and creating your own ambiance at home. Very good food at a great price.

All the other places in town pretty much suck from one varying degree to another. This place sucks the least out of the rest. Get the sea bass roll. It's fried (it South Louisiana). Substitute the fake crab stuck for the tempura (farm raised) shrimp. In all, it tastes fine with a cold beer. But order out, because the tiny little place is a dump. Take notice of the piles and piles of papers and receipts and crap stacked up near the front! It's a one man operation. They back up on the weekends. Order early, and put a good movie on at home.
