Not as good as Amami San Sushi which is 2 min walk almost across the street . Also prices are higher here. Besides the staff it is not very friendly

Thoroughly enjoyed Chirashi dinner at Amami last week. Fish was exceptionally fresh, presentation and taste were excellent. We also ordered one of the more artistic rolls, all dishes were outstanding.

Was happier after my first visit. Won't be returning a third time. Chef said that "quality daikon was not available" at their store at this time, hence that was the reason they didn't have it for the tempura dipping sauce. Huh? There are many grocery stores around that have daikon now, it's not out of season. Also the honey walnut shrimp sushi roll tasted weird, I think because the walnuts were over-toasted and didn't taste like walnuts anymore. I know, that is not traditional Japanese sushi. I was expecting something that tastes like the honey walnut prawns entree in nearby Chinese restaurants (which I don't think is a traditional Chinese dish either).
The service is prompt and extremely friendly. The food is extremely fresh and tasty. The music is a little sappy, but all in all a wonderful find.
