Gaza Japanese Cuisine is a modern adaptation on Japanese cuisine in Bloomington, IN. Gaza showcases modern style Japanese cuisine in innovative surroundings including a sushi counter and ample space.
The decor was pleasant and very modern. The menu is expansive and our waiter did not seem to know much beyond tempura, and thus was not helpful at all in guiding us with menu selections. Thus, not familiar with many of the choices, we kind of had to wing it. The service was below average in general. As far as the food, the Chef's choice Omakase was very good, along with Rainbow roll sushi. I'm not a frequent consumer of sushi, but to me it seemed above average compared to other Japanese restaurants I've experienced. The $25 Hot Stone wagyu beef appetizer was delicious, but meat quite scant. The Sake Mojito was excellent with mint leaves. Our meal cost ended up at $125 with two drinks and no dessert (tip not included), so would be for special occasions only I think it was nice to try this place, but not motivated to return.

I went with my family of five before a show at Indiana University Auditorium. We asked for some appetizers and entrées. Food was good and well prepared. The waiter was very nice but seems to be a little too confused and didn't give us proper attention. He never refilled our water glasses or asked if we need anything else. When the entrées arrived, my daughter's entrée was forgotten and te waiter promised to have it in few minutes. Everybody finished and then we ordered desert. The desert came but not my daughter's entrée and it was at least 20 minutes after the rest of the family have finished dinner. She was ok with the incident so we didn't make a big deal on that. The young man, probably an IU student, may need the job so I tipped according anyway.

Come by your local Noodles & Company at 517 E. Kirkwood Avenue, , Bloomington where its globally inspired dishes including noodles, soups and salads, come together to create a World Kitchen.
Portion was on the small side. Seasonings were OK. But, the beef was super stringy and chewy, not tender. For a more satisfying noodle bowl, it might be a good idea to go meatless.
We proudly served Japanese, Indonesian, Chinese Food ( Halal ). We have variety of dessert like, Tiramisu Mille Crepe, Matcha Mille Crepe, Durian Mille Crepe. We also accept Mille Crepe Pre-order .
My wife and I came on a Saturday night based on the recommendation of friends, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is in a refurbished house just a block away from Bloomington's bustling downtown. We were promptly greeted, and, for most of our meal we were the only diners in the restaurant, although they seemed to have a brisk carryout business. For an appetizer we had the Sate Babi, skewered pork marinated in Indonesian sauce. The pork was well-prepared and sauce appropriately spicy, but not overbearing. I had the terriyaki chicken as an entree and my wife had noodles with chicken. Both entrees were tasty, well-plated, and portions were appropriately generous. For dessert, they have a selection of crepes with various fillings. We opted for the Tiramisu crepe, which was presented as a stack of crepes with filling layered between each crepe and cocoa to top. The owner, who came by reasonably often to check on us during dinner, told us they make the desserts in-house. Cafe Bali is a bit off the downtown beaten path in Bloomington, but worth it.
