Things to do in Ayase
Sushi served through conveyor belt (kaiten sushi). A wide selection of standard and made to order sushi, tempura and similar dishes. The seating is family style 4-6 person tables, not counter seating, great if you are not there by yourself. There is a lucky draw for kids for every five plates you order (you can win keychain type of stuff). The restaurant accepts credit card.
Our first sushi of the vacation and we definitely picked the right spot. The sushi was deliciously prepared, beautifully presented, and the chef was friendly and attentive. I had the deluxe sushi set for 1640 yen...very reasonable!
Located in Ayase Town Hills Mall. Variety of menus to choose from. Cost performance is great. You can choose ordinary white rice or Gokokumai (Grain rice). Drinks are self-served (not free). Plenty of seat available but gets crowded during lunch, dinner hours and weekends.
When we moved to Japan this was the first restaurant we went to and loved everything we ate. The staff was very polite and nice. They only take yen here - no card. We usually just get two sets when we eat here. They come with a salad, 2 types of meat (we get roast and kalbi), and a medium bowl of rice and soy sauce. The sets are about 2,500 yen each. We eat here all the time and have no need to go to another Yakiniku type restaurant. Their sorbets are good too. We are always too full to get dessert though.
When you enter the restaurant you have to buy the ticket of the dish you want to order. This can be a little tricky for foreigners since the menu is in Japanese. Try to order with a picture menu. Just give the stub to the waiter. Your dish will be there in a minute or so. Try to avoid during lunch hours and dinner hours since your dish can delay a little. No major service. You must pour your own cup of water.
So we have been coming here off and on for over a year. We love the dinosaurs, but hate they way other services are. Sometimes they wont let your child ride the dinosaur (which is subpar anyway) if you didnât buy certain food or drinks. Everyone must order a drink I think too, so if your a water drinker just suck it up?! Thatâs just dumb..So hence the 3-stars, if anything more ridiculous happens we will stop going. The food is hit and miss also, been when itâs gusto and been when itâs vending machine quality.

We had so much fun picking out sushi and other items from the menu, and roto conveyor. Great prices, and delicious. We stuffed ourselves and drank alcohol and spent under $40. Can't go wrong. I especially recommend the broiled eel, salmon with avocado, the miso soup, the duck udon soup, and buttered clams.

The food was so great! Learn up on how to use your utensils you don't want to touch raw meat with your chopsticks that you use to eat with. Etc. locals love this spot! Don't even try to read a menu, just ask for beef chicken or whatever u want!

This Ebina Service Area is run by a different company than the Ebina Service Area going into Tokyo. While the other SA is going for gourmet food offerings, this SA is going for food cart, street food offerings. You get lots of different types of stalls hawking BBQ seafood, meat, fried goods, ice creams, shaved ice, bubble tea.... We love to stop at BOTH Ebina Service Areas because they offer totally different feel.
